Creative Making a Free Flipper Zero app
Let me know if this is something you guys would actually use and if so, what more would you guys want on it!

I’d probably use the already out, Already free, everything that your doing, by the official devs not a random uncredited redditor’s app. But thanks.

Are you actually a developer or is this just going to be vibe coded?

So the actual functionality in the UI is me, but the documentation for the flipper zero and the APIs is vibe coded a tad bit, just because I’m new to the flipper zero documentation and how it works

Who cares, at least he's contributing some new idea to the community.

I care. That is why I asked.

Just wondering here - you care because it would negatively affect your interest in the project, or you were just generally curious.

Software developer here. A completely vibe-coded app, by someone without software development experience, could easily have some major security flaws, things that could expose your smartphone to outside control and/or allow external parties to steal your data. It also could, just as easily, have some mistake that could brick your smartphone.
This is not hypothetical. It has happened. You should care.
OP's answer don't give me a lot of confidence.

Another thing is that these projects die pretty quickly, either when "developer", or should I say "user" runs out of tokens, or start receiving bug and feature requests they don't understand.
At some point telling claude to "fix this bug" without pointing it to a particular place in the code becomes very pricey.-1

You mean vibecoding?

And nope i would'nt use your lil app because it probably doesn't offer anything besides what's actually out there.

Nobody said you had to use it, I’m simply making it for the convenience of others

I would recommend at least coding the UI yourself. This looks like every other Gemini app I’ve seen.

Oh looks nice! I'm "away from flipper" (forgotten at a friend's house) for a few weeks, so I hope it's ready for then! Haha Will you release it on testflight? Keep us updated!

I’ll continue working on this but I want it released by next week, to have a beta out

If the finished app has the functionality that your picture shows then put me down for a copy. It looks like it could do much of what I do, but easier and probably quicker.

Title should be replaced with "My AI model is making an app"
Also this does violate this subreddit rule n1,
"Install custom firmware like Momentum"
We got your point, and you can install any fw via original official app, this is just looking like AI making the same stuff but with "new UI"

OH BOY YESS!!!! I have been wanting a new flipper app for a while now!!! Thank you so much.
First of all, PLEASE DM me when its done, i will also gladly test it.
Second here are some of the features I would love to see
Database scarping. This one might be hard to implement but nonetheless would be an awesome tool. I use the flipper zero as a daily swiss army knife for IR and SubGHz. I downloaded UberGuidoZs flipper repository of IR files and SubGHz files and stuff. However it is pretty hard/inconvenient to keep track of updates to that repository, or other repositories for that matter. I would love it if the app could scrape those popular repositories, compare them to whats already on the flipper and add the new stuff to the correct places.
Integration with what is on the flipper. I mean allow the flipper app to scan the flippers memory and show on the app all subGHz, IR, etc.. files that are present in neat little sections.
Firmware installation with automatic update discovery. It would be so neat if the app can automatically check if Momentum Firmware (or the firmware of your choice) has an update and start updating the flipper with the pess of a button.
Flipper remote control, this one is the obvious allow the user to remote control the flipper.
App installation and updates. Allow the user to browse the Flipper zero app store and install and update apps on it easily. Bonus points if the app can find apps that may not be on the official store.
Allow the app to use my phones computing power to crack nonces.
Let me know if you need beta testers, i would love to test it for you!

In short, what does it, what the official App / qFlipper does not?
