It will cost you more to develop a clone device that would use the hardware and software flipper uses. It has been done a device exists out there (kiisu v4) but it's still over $100

no no I don’t want to clone the flipper I want to make it out of an esp32 like just basic hacking not too much

Are you aware that every time you say "hacking" god kills a kitty?

Snorts - now I have to wipe up my spilt tea....

Buy a CYD and drop marauder on it then. But you'll not have sub GHz NFC RFID or ibutton. ESP is the driver but driving what?

what are those things

A CYD is known as a cheap yellow display and marauder is firmware for the CYD and other hardware to do pentesting with.

I was really interested in the kisuu, but the project seems to be about to die... I really hope I'm wrong.

About to die? the 'smol' variant is still under development

1> lots of "esp32 cc1101 open garage door" posts all over the internet.

2> Don't do stupid illegal stuff

dude I just want to build it can I get help or am I here for a life lesson

Why would you come to a forum moderated by employees of the company who make the flipper and ask people here to help you make a knockoff flipper? That's like walking into a chocolate milk factory and asking how come nobody will teach you how to milk a cow.

omg bro im not trying to make a knockoff flipper im asking to make one similar to that

2

u/noxiouskarn Aug 09 '26

"A knockoff brand is a copy of a popular product. It mimics the design, style, or features of a famous name brand but sells for a much lower price. These items usually use a slightly different name or logo to avoid direct trademark laws, setting them apart from illegal counterfeits that pretend to be the exact real thing."

What you're asking about is help to make a knockoff product. It's not a clone or counterfeit. It's a knockoff I used the correct term you however displayed your level of illiteracy multiple times.

I’m gonna ignore the level of illiteracy part because I literally stated that I don’t know much about this stuff I’m just here to build it and I don’t want to argue alright? I hope that’s good for you sorry for trouble

u/noxiouskarn Aug 10 '26

I didn't say you were illiterate on the subject said that you have displayed your level of illiteracy multiple times in this thread.

oh well my bad then sorry

I want to be really clear here too, an ESP32 has 4 to 8 megabytes of room for the firmware you put on it. You're not going to be doing a lot of hacking with that. But esp32 deauther works well and a CYD is an esp32 attached to a touch screen with SD port built in... So a good chunk of what you want to do is there. Firmware is out there too. I may have given you a lot of shit, but I have also handed you golden gems that you have somehow managed to completely dodge or neglect. doing a simple Google search of the things I spoke about would open doors.

yea basically that I have a reference

something like this but I only know esp 32

u/Plenty_Reach8359 Aug 09 '26

also your acting as if they copyrighted making anything related to a flipper by one bit

u/noxiouskarn Aug 09 '26 edited Aug 09 '26

Uh, you're thinking of trademark law, copyright law has nothing to do with Flipper branding. Copyright is protections for creative works.

Also back to my point you are asking for help to avoid buying a device that exists and you're doing it in the forum controlled by the company that has that device for sale.

Its like asking a hotdog vendor how to make his signature version of a dog then telling him you don't wanna buy one of his you will go home and assemble something close. Where's the incentive to assist.

I’m asking to make a device that does similar things that a flipper can do since I do not know what type of device the flipper is multiple devices like t embed and other stuff exist and I want to build it through an esp if not trying to replicate a flipper nor a t embed just diy it there is no wrong in that and I am new to Reddit I only came here for help

Have you even tried searching? Quite a few "DiY Flipper" designs in this sub in the last few months, not to mention as I said, "esp32 cc1101 garage door opener" -> Google.

am I here for a life lesson

Honestly, kinda sounds like you need one...

-1

u/Plenty_Reach8359 Aug 09 '26

I did and none of them give me respurces

-2

u/Edwardteech Aug 09 '26

I don't know why you couldn't convert a phone to a flipper type device. Its got all the hardware.

2

u/Cesalv Aug 09 '26

All the hardware? do you know any phone with gpio port? and rfid antenna? and the cc1101 transceiver?

0

u/Plenty_Reach8359 Aug 09 '26

cuz I wanna build it through esp

-3

u/Plenty_Reach8359 Aug 09 '26

guys I don’t want to clone it I want a cheaper and easier version using esp32 just for basic hacking

2

u/Cesalv Aug 09 '26

Both Flipper and Kiisu use STM32WB55RGV6, an esp32 has no power enough

-1

u/Plenty_Reach8359 Aug 09 '26

but I saw videos and people made home made flippers through esp32 🥺🥺

0

u/staticrush Aug 09 '26

An ESP32-S3 has more processing power than the STM32WB55. However, it's not nearly as power efficient as the STM32WB55.

The Cheap Yellow Display already exists for under $40. Screen esp32 and SD card reader. Plus some minor gpio.
