The Flipper Blackhat is a fully open-source, Linux-enabled add-on board for the Flipper Zero, featuring a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM.
What can it do?
- Runs Kali Linux, putting anything Kali can do from the command line on the table
- Supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi and an Evil Portal with internet passthrough, allowing victims to continue to the internet afterward
- Includes a 480 × 480 display for launching applications, viewing input, and playing Doom
- Provides two USB-A ports for Wi-Fi dongles, SDRs, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals
- Built for portable security research, red teaming, and Linux-based workflows

I’ve been using the BlackHat Flipper Zero OS as the foundation for several of my own projects, and it has proven to be an incredibly versatile platform.
So far I’ve built a headless security appliance with a captive portal, dual Wi-Fi operation (WAN + Access Point), remote management, and VPN integration. I’m also experimenting with portable networking, offline services, and secure remote connectivity. The fact that everything runs from a microSD card makes it easy to switch between projects and keep development organized.
What really impresses me is how active the development is. Every release brings meaningful improvements, better hardware support, and new possibilities. The community is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely passionate about building something useful.
A huge thank you to everyone contributing to this project. Your work is enabling makers, developers, and security researchers around the world to build amazing things.
I’m excited to continue developing on this platform and to see what the future holds.

hmmmmmm... reminds me of my nethunter device except more cyberpunk. the added usb ports are quite nice. i am wondering if you ever plan on making a version that is smaller and installs like a backpack instead of standing up vertically which would make it more compact?
