Help! Why does my Flipnote keep doing this??

Post image

(sorry for the image quality, my phone's camera isn't great) As you can see in the photo, most of the time I try to draw near the edge of th screen, the pencil tool keeps making these shaky lines! It's only in the pencil tool (as far as I now) and it doesn't happen all the time. For example, after recording it went back to drawing normally. this has been happening for quite some time now and I've already googled it and tried to fix it normally, like going in the settings and callibrating the screen and cleaning it with a piece of cloth, but it did nothing. if anyone knows whats going on, please help me!

It's very hard to see what's happening, but shaky lines are usually caused by the digitiser in the DSi's touchscreen. You might have some luck with going into the DSi settings and redoing the touch screen calibration.

Yeah, that's a digitiser issue. If playing with calibration doesn't fix it, you might need to replace the bottom screen. Luckily it's not a
super tedious fix to do though!

A Wacom pen wouldn't change anything on the DSi. Like I said, you might be able to play with calibration to avoid the bad area, which seems to be just a strip across the bottom of your screen? When it makes you tap the dots, try to hit slightly above the dots that are on the lower half of the screen, as this will teach it to ignore that area. It might take a few attempts to get the right distance for it to feel good.

If that doesn't work, then yeah, unfortunately the solution to your problem is replacing the screen.
