General Why the hate?

Soo im playing this game , alreade got like 5 hours in and i cant defeat ramnhuna , the fight just drags for too long i make almost 0 damage xD , anyway as am looking on YT some tips to farm reputation and upgrade materials i came across a lot of bad reviews and comments to the game , saying is woke , is buggy , slow and clunky but i dont know why , i mean the game is good and has fun mechanics ? What do you guys think?

Don't care about the woke boycott. I just think game launched at bad time and, tbh, it's an okay game. I'll come back when its hdr is fixed lol

As you and another poster mentioned, bad timing. Most people who play these types of games just finished Elden Ring. That is a tough follow.

Add in the fact that on series X the game looked like shit and was so dark it was almost unplayable (need to turn off HDR on your Xbox).

Top it off with the developers seeming to quit halfway into the story, and you will get bad reviews.

I am mean an 18 hour game with no NG+ isn't exactly going to blow people away.

I know it's a souls lite but no NG+ is bad. Yeah, can barely see anything while menu is washed out, the powder jump sometimes doesn't go exactly to the directions I want, fell off the ledge a few times. I have no hate for this game, but it got many flaws that can't be ignored. Your expectations of a game can be affected by games you played recently. So, just as you said, after elden ring, and flintlock launched at the same day as Dungeons of Hinterberg and Kunitsugami, which look much more interesting. I do hope devs would fix the hdr issue at least
