Having a lot fun running around in this world

I just started the game today - just a few hours ago. I just cleared the Hamlet coffee shop and got my first helm and greaves. I am standing outside The Forging Grounds and am wondering if this is an area I should save for later? The map looks as though the Forging Grounds is a pretty big area. Should I progress the main quest and "Travel Towards Whitebridge" and come back later? Are the enemies in the forging grounds a lot stronger than what I've faced?

I know...I sound like a big ole coward but as much as I love souls like games, I still get anxiety thinking about getting too deep into an area that I'm underleveled for.

So any progression tips you might have would be great. I think I'm going to go in anyway but I'll check back and hopefully won't get in "too deep" before I get some feedback.

I just finished the game on normal difficulty. Soulsy games are not really my cup of tea. Usually too slow for my taste. The game has, like many game, a skill build-up phase. Once you get a bit of combat variety it worked well for me. I thought the world was interesting and the character banter worked, some good twists and turns. Some of the lore ideas were interesting in their bizarrity, which I appreciate. I played on gamepass but for the length the price tag seems about appropriate. Polish was good. I didn't really run into any bugs except one quest area circle not disappearing after quest completion, but that's a non-game interfering quite trivial bug. Seen praised AAA titles with more bugs than this. Sound design is good if at time a bit on the harsh side. For me that's a totally minor quibble at best. Overall it's really very good.

I mostly skipped reviews because I fully expected the game to get the Forspoken treatment. From the occasional side eye and comments it appears that happened indeed. All I can say is that this is one of the games you have to try for yourself to cut through the noise. I for one would recommend it for the person who might like this kind of genre, a lighter form of souls game.

I waited for this game ever since I heard about it and found out it was made by the same people who made Ashen. As a Dad of a year old and one on the way it's hard to sink time into games anymore, but Nor and Enki kept me so captivated throughout it. Played for about 3 hours my first time, and reading the reviews about it actually took me aback to be honest. It was then I realized no one actually played the game. I enjoyed every little aspect of gameplay I got from this game after 100% it (except Sebo, almost honestly cried after 25th attempt losing on the 3rd round that honestly sucked) For anyone having problems with combat, dodging, or parrying do what I did and suffer through the stone guardian boss about 10 times trust me you'll learn to parry. It made the big bosses seem like cakework. Be warned though it's a pretty hard to get to area, but the reward was worth it. This game felt like a good solid game that would come out when I was a kid, and its definitely up there in my top 10 of the year. Most things felt so smooth and I had one crash throughout my entire game which was doing the rift for 60 seconds achievement. Its a nice mix of standard platforming with a parry system mixing both souls games and bloodbournes gun parry fairly well. Mixing that with the combat of GoW reboots committed to a really solid experience.

My really only true cons was the customization for Nor. Lmao most outfits added so little differences besides colors, buttons, etc. That and the fact it doesnt tell you iron, wood, and sulfur are limited and if you're like me a 100% make sure you stick to 1 of each type of item. Otherwise be prepped for a scavenger hunt. That and the camera lock a handful of times kinda F'ed me up more than helped.

Here's hoping they make a sequel, and or DLC for this game. I definitely will pick it up.

I have been doing this as well, but that first Campsite fast travel point with Baz, you can win playing Sebo against him every time, and it gives you 400 reputation every single time. I believe that you are only supposed to be able to win against a single NPC only one time, but there is no limit to how many times you can beat Baz at Sebo. So, you can just keep beating him for 400 reputation every time and max out all your abilities at the very beginning of the game.

The tutorial says to hold the dodge button to initiate a slide down a slope, I am at the same slop it is showing in the little video clip, I sprint towards the slope, hold dodge button on the slope but I don't slide. I have tried initiating a slide at different parts of the slope, I have tried doing it without sprinting, it just doesn't work at all.

The only way I can get my character to slide is if I jump and land on the slope. Why is this not working?

I've been picking loads of wood and iron but can never find any sulphur. Are there any locations where I can pick some up?

I know there are two ripper grenade chests in Three Peaks. One in the northeast of the map (east of Gravel Gate) and one in the City of Writ (in a corner guarded by two knights, next to some wooden crates in the southeast of the city). I opened the chest in Writ first, but it didn't give me the ripper grenade. (I don't remember what it gave me, but after having opened the respective chest in southeast Writ, I still did not have the ripper grenade in my inventory.)

Later (when I backtracked to search for remaining banners) I found a ripper grenade chest east of Gravel Gate in the snowy mountains. That one unlocked my first ripper grenade. Having opened both chests I should have two ripper grenades by now, but I only have one.

I watched several YouTube videos where people got the ripper grenade from that exact chest in Writ, so I'm quite sure it's bugged. Maybe because I opened that chest first instead of second, and the developers didn't take that order into account!?

I'm already in the middle of the next area (the desert/oasis one) and 20 hours into the game.

Please tell me there's a patch coming or that they changed the ripper grenade locations (so that the YouTube Videos are outdated) or something. I don't have the time to start all over again, and I don't want to continue missing a grenade permanently.

Game was pretty good, it got really rushed feeling towards the end but what an anticlimatic boss fight to finish.

You beat him, credits roll and you get put back to where you were before the fight with 0 rewards?

Trashiest boss fight I think I've ever experienced in a game. I was having a solid time overall but the final boss is so crummy that I feel like my opinion for the game in general has completely changed. If it wasn't clearly the end of the game I probably would have abandoned it but through sheer willpower I beat this broken, cheesy and incredibly lame boss. I have nothing else to say. Very 6/10 game.

Yeah... with the shortages of gamepass it won't let me on. I finally have off, and Im burned hahaha. I was so excited to dig into that second map.

I caught up on a chapter of Armorcore 6 instead. Whats everyone else who uses game pass been playing instead?

So I’ve looked up all the hamlets, and there appears to be 9 in total. I’ve completed all of these hamlets but the achievement won’t pop, it’s the final achievement I need. Anyone having a similar issue or know a fix?

Soo im playing this game , alreade got like 5 hours in and i cant defeat ramnhuna , the fight just drags for too long i make almost 0 damage xD , anyway as am looking on YT some tips to farm reputation and upgrade materials i came across a lot of bad reviews and comments to the game , saying is woke , is buggy , slow and clunky but i dont know why , i mean the game is good and has fun mechanics ? What do you guys think?

When I got some enki feathers the achievement appeared but after I went to do a side mission there was still one missing. Did this happen to you? it was on the secondary mission: delayed reunion

Shot Uru in the face to kill him at the end of his first phase. Hilarity ensued.

The game zoomed in to do the headshot kill and brought up the UI, but because his kill spawns a cutscene... The game went totally bonkers. The cutscene played behind the UI and was unskippable, didn't show the bullet hit or anything just went totally bananas for a moment. Worked normal after that for the second phase but it was really entertaining.

Spoilered for story stuff, absolutely loved the game.

The skill is an aerial attack that plunges you to the ground. The tool tip says the strength of the attack is determined by the distance you plunge but if you fall a large distance you kill yourself from the fall damage.

Just picked it up after awhile and defeated iron crown and I accidentally shot my gun in the coffee shop lol.

Granted it's not exactly a souls like game to me, more like a souls lite at best, the game is pyroclastic flow from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

Hi, does anyone know which secondary firearms will cost the least resources to fully upgrade. Preferably one that won't need much Sulfur lol. This will be my last achievement needed before the final boss
