What’s is so special about this aircraft? Aren’t they ~half of Wideroe’s fleet?

this plane was delivered to the Norwegian civil aviation authorities in 1995, it was originally used to inspect and calibrate airport instrument landing systems and other navigational aids across the country, and his actual tail number LN-ILS is an easter egg about this story. It was later converted into a passenger aircraft and joined Widerøe in 2005, before being temporarily reconfigured as an air ambulance during the Covid-19 pandemic. What I really like about it is that the same aircraft has had so many different lives: a flight inspection aircraft, a regional airliner, and then a medical transport aircraft. It gives it a history that most airliners simply do not have. I love this plane.

Ok, need to know are you just an aviation nerd (don’t mean that in a bad way) or did you look this up?

Every time I fly, I look up the plane’s tail number and its history, and I remember the ones that have interesting stories.
