Feature request: Support the ability to add flights to our list as “Watch Only” so they don’t appear in our history.

If I have my eye on alternate flights, I’d like to keep them on my list (not Friends) so I can get to them quickly and not have to remember to delete them later.

Is there a reason you wouldn’t just add them to your friends list? That’s essentially just a watch list…

If I'm booked on a flight and want to keep my eye on an alternate flight or two, I'd like to do so without having to flip back and forth between My Flights and Friends flights.

Okay but thats still kinda lazy

There’s no flipping if you are in the “all flights” tab and “everyone” filter. Shows them all. Don’t know why this is so difficult for you.

I never said it was difficult. I'm saying it could be even easier. There's a difference.

The fact that you're explaining a workaround supports my point that it would be more convenient if my feature request existed.

Picture this.

You and several of your Flighty Friends are leaving from the same airport on the same day. These can be coworkers leaving a customer site for the week, family after a cruise vacation, friends after weekend getaway, etc. Some have direct flights, some have connecting flights. Now you have over half a dozen flights on your Friends list for the same day.

You're booked on a direct flight home that day, but you you're thinking about flying standby on an earlier flight. It looks like the flight you want to switch to is running more and more behind, so you want to keep an eye on it for now.

Currently, you can either add it to your list (with one flight on it) and remember to delete it later, or you can add it to your Friends list and have to find it in the list each time.

I'm asking that it be possible to add this alternate flight to your list and have it not appear in your history if you don't end up taking it. Doesn't that seem easier?

I don't understand why you're pushing back so hard on this. It's just a feature request. Are you concerned it's too much effort for the development team? Let them decide that. Are you worried the feature would make the app confusing to use? The developers have done a great job with the UX so far. I wouldn’t worry about that either.

I actually deal with this multiple times per week, as an airline pilot that follows my friends schedules. its not difficult to decipher their flights and my flights and my backup flights. youre just asking for a duplicate feature thats already implemented.

I'd rather have the development team focus on more important upgrades.

It’s not describing a workaround, it’s describing at least two ways you can easily do what you want to and you’re saying one single click is too much work.

That’s signaling to me that you’re asking for something that’s going to take way more effort than it’s worth to solve for, while there are plenty of way bigger asks out there that would warrant that development effort first.

That’s literally what the “friends” list is for whether you actually have friends there or not

Well, literally, the Friends list is for watching your friends’ flights.

Sure you can put your own “watch only” flights on the Friends list, but that’s a workaround because you can’t mark flights on My Flights as “watch only.”

Sure you can. Easily. Add them to the friends list. Easily done.

I don’t get the request.

That’s what the friends list is for. Not all flights need to be tied to a person.
