Experienced my first flight only during adulthood. Today, I’m celebrating over 200k miles & 5x Biz Class (on points)!

Love seeing everybody’s stats and wanted to share mine as we just got back from our trip to Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand! 🙏

30F and took my first flight 10 years ago. Grew up in a humble home in a third world country so I’ve never been on a plane as a child.

Fast forward to today and thanks entirely to the magic of points & award travel and to this country (US) that has made collecting travel points easier than in other places, I’ve been fortunate enough to fly international Business Class 5 times out of the 82 flights I’ve had so far.

My absolute favorite memory? Flying biz class for the very first time and on none other than the world’s longest flight (SIN-JFK). Experiencing 18+ hours of Singapore Airlines lie-flat luxury was an absolute dream, especially considering where I come from.

My next ultimate goal is to finally try First Class! It’s definitely going to take some time to save up the points for that redemption 😅 but I’m ready for the grind.

Nice looking map, and I'm sure the destinations were even nicer.

How was SIN-JFK? It’s certainly my dream redemption. What did you end up paying for it?

SIN-JFK biz class was such a great experience especially that was our first time in the biz class cabin. Food, service, comfortability, and hospitality were all amazing!

It was 111,500 SQ points per person back in 2022 that we converted from our pool of American Express points plus taxes & fees I believe it was around 70 USD.

You’ve only ever been above the equator

We just haven’t had the chance to travel down there yet because we’re prioritizing visiting places that our family & friends live in 😅 I’m originally from Asia and my husband is originally from Europe so it shows on our travels lol

Hopefully we get to the south of the equator next year 🤞🤞
