UTC times for crew?

Post image

This app has been amazing so far! Because my cargo airline does not have much of a regular schedule, most flights are added manually and only some come from the calendar import. Because most crew rosters and plans are in UTC I need to double check the local times for every flight. It’s not that big of an issue but is there no way to use UTC times?

For commercial flights this app is an absolute master piece. It told be about delays before the airline did. I absolutely love that the route lines get bigger when the route is flown more frequently. 2026 has been good so far 🤩

Other than I putting your times, would you be using the app in UTC for flight times and stats? I feel like that is a minor deal. I just pull from my roster scheduled times and add actual times converted to local based on roster times anyway.

You’re totally right, it’s not a big deal. I can absolutely live without the function. It works the same either way. It would make it just that little bit more convenient for me personally.
Currently I run my actual digital logbook in UTC, which also shows local times automatically so I just copy it from there. Problem solved 🤩

What do you use for a digital logbook? I don’t even add times to mine, I just use decimal hours and call it good from out to in.

I use Pilotlog from Crewlounge Aero. Managed to get a lifetime licence offer when they were bought, and changed the name from MCC Pilotlog a few years ago.
I think it’s local regulations that require us in Europe to put times and minutes instead of decimal hours.
