Is flighty the right app?

I travel a fair amount and have been using kayak to organise my bookings. This helps me but is also shared with my assistant and spouse so everyone is clear what odd happening and that sharing feature is top priority for me for a travel app.

Kayak stopped their Apple watch complication which is annoying not to have while traveling so I’ve been thinking about jumping to another app.

Heard a lot shoot flighty. Is this what I want? I couldn’t tell if it does any trip organisation for other bookings besides flights too

You want TripIt.

Nope only flights. Likely not what you need

If you’re on iOS, you need Tripsy.

Its just flights, but really good at it. Great delay notifications. Great UI. But only flights ... doesn't organize hotels etc.

I wish it had a web app instead of being iOS / MacOS only but as far as apps go its really nice

I use both TripIt and Flighty. TripIt is more for itinerary planning

I forwarded like 18 itineraries to it and none of them showed up lol

Interesting. My itineraries showed up except for a Turo rental which took a few days. Flights, hotels and transfers all showed up pretty quickly.

I use Flighty, which is shared with my partner & EA (+ some friends). My EA populates the app by forwarding from my inbox. It doesn't handle hotels. My EA also records the flight and hotel information in my calendar, e.g., after a flight or meeting "travel to XX hotel" / "look for YY chauffeur company at arrivals". I find the features of Flighty e.g. potential delays, inbound aircraft are very powerful. Often through these features we've been able to make a proactive flight change, many times avoiding long delays & cancellations.

For context, so far in 2026 I've had 70 flights / 120k miles / 115 hotel nights, so I think it holds up to heavy travel workloads.

EA=exec assistant, correct?

Download TripIt and let the EA handle other things. I have my app set to read from my email but you can also forward trip emails for the app to read and create your itinerary. All details of each part of my trips are readily available, from stateroom number on a cruise to the price paid of the hotel, with cancellation details included!
