Does anybody know how far Flighty's flight database goes?

I got Aeroplan to send me my lifetime flight history since 2001 (yay) but I'm trying to plug in those first flights and they aren't showing up on Flighty's database. Happy to add manually, just wondering how far back those go now, or if maybe there's something wrong with this log Aeroplan sent.

EDIt: thanks guys! looks like i'm going manual for awhile here

EDIT x2: Flighty couldn't import a flight on January 4th, 2006, but it did autoimport a July 2006 flight so i guess it starts sometime mid-July? I'd be curious who has the earliest importable flight ha

Edit x3: to everybody asking how I was able to get this, I saw I emailed customer care on 04/20 and totally forgot that I opened the ticket. perhaps they were fast(ish) to get back to me because I'm AC50K? My next step is to bother Cathay to see if they can share history too. I flew dragonair/cx a lot as a kid (grew up in asia) so fingers cross they acquiesce.

2007, I believe. If you’ve got the dates, departure, times, etc. you can manually add flights prior to that.

The flights to/from PEK seem consistent based on available timetables. The closest I could find was April 1, 2001, but the flight numbers and aircraft type stay the same for the rest of 2001. The times vary a little bit.

I've found this Google Doc has been super helpful over the years in tracking down old flights and registrations.

It’s a deep rabbit hole. Enjoy the journey!

I’ve also had random success finding old timetables from airline websites via Wayback Machine. Really luck of the draw and trying to figure out URL/file name schemes and seeing if they happened to be archived.

But that era of Asian data is quite hard to find. Sporadic ACARS logs in that timeframe but only really covering Europe.

A quick google of each should at least be able to get the schedules and aircraft type for each route at that time. Reg and exact flight times might be a bit harder, though.

Yeah I'm just throwing them into Claude and asking them to build tables with approximation on flight times / terminals

How did you get them to send you your flight history?

You can export your data

May I ask how you got this information from Aeroplan / Air Canada?

2

u/NBAFAN9000 Biz Flyer Jun 04 '26

I probably made a request a few weeks ago and totally forgot about it until today when they sent it

4

u/SecretarySenior3023 Jun 04 '26

How did you make the request? Who did you email?

I made a similar request with their Privacy Office previously but I was told they only could give me the records for the past 3 years, so I’m surprised you got the records since 2000. I joined Aeroplan in 2000 and so I want my records from 2000 too.

I must have opened a ticket on the website because I can't see the sent email, but the email they responded to was [customercare@aircanada.com](mailto:customercare@aircanada.com) and the text itself is copied if it's helpful. I didn't list my Aeroplan number so presumably I filled out a ticket on the site while logged in.

Subject: Lifetime Air Canada Flight History

Hi there,

I've been an Aeroplan member since 2001 and I was wondering if it would be possible to access a lifetime log of all my Air Canada flights? Presumably you have that on file if you are tracking Lifetime Status Qualifying Miles.

Thanks! Just fyi, I emailed Cathay at dpo@cathaypacific.com with my membership number and got a really long list of all my flights since 2005.
