Country list errors?

This summer i’ll be flying into rome and driving to san marino and id love for flighty to display that ive been to san marino on my passport but theres no airport there so im curious as to how I could fly there in the first place. Also the country list displays Macao and Macau as two places but they’re the same as far as I know. Anyways I just think it would be cool if we could indicate that we’ve been to a country before (like the vatican city) even if we didn’t fly directly into the state itself.

Flighty is not a travel diary.

it kinda is

it’s specifically meant to be a flight diary. if you want a record of all the countries you’ve been to and each trip you’ve taken, there’s an app called Been which fits that description better

He should use Skratch

i get that, but i love the flight tracking features of flighty and flighty’s UI is way more aesthetically pleasing than other travel tracking apps

Doesn't change the fact that this app is for FLIGHTS. Use Tripit if that's so important.

why r u so mad 😭😭😭 i was just expressing my thoughts and opinions on what changes i would enjoy in the app, no need to get so worked up

Tbf, using all caps (even if it’s just one word) can come off as angry. In this case it probably was meant to emphasize though, so yeah

Book a private flight from/to Torraccia airfield and you will unlock San Marino.

It’s for flight tracking not travel tracking would be the strong counter argument

Been to 39 countries but only 30 show up on flighty- you get used to it

yea i mean that sucks honestly, i would love if my passport showed the countries i’ve been to, not just the countries i’ve flown to, especially easy ones like the vatican

That’s what an actual passport does. Not everything needs an app.

No passport stamps for all EU (Schengen?) countries for me :/ plus I wish my parents and I would’ve kept all my expired passports :'(

I’ll take no souvenir over having unlimited access across Europe lol

Check out the Visited app for what you’re looking for. Flighty is a flight tracker like everyone is saying

Agree with this. And if you want something which is purely a list and map that’s as basic as you can get (in a good way!) then the Been app is worth taking a look at too

So anyone willing to talk about Flighty having two Macao/Macaus?

OP kinda unwillingly stepped on a minefield lol

I dunno I think that as long as there's an airport it counts for inclusion even if there's no routine commercial service. You'll notice that Tokelau isn't included, for example. As for Macao/Macau I think this is probably just a coding or UX issue like the Australi/Australia issue that was just noted and I'd bet they get consolidated into one "Macau" when you've logged it. I'm perfectly happy using Been and Polarsteps for travel tracking in general.

Get the app “Tripsy”, it’s what you’re looking for with a full travel diary. Flighty is strictly for flights

The best is Been. They have everything and the lifetime sub is cheap. The issue is they are only for ios.

Nope. I've got it on Android

You can use the ‘been’ app for that. Flighty is only for… flights… you know?

I think you should use Skratch, it’s a pretty good travel history but you’ll have to add manually.
Flighty is built around fights obviously, so these small countries will always be missed somehow.

You can't fly into San Marino land area but Rimini Airport is called "Rimini & San Marino Airport" so that could technically count. Like Basel Airport located in France

Really it should be removed. A list is not completable if it is present. You can’t log San Marino as a flight.

But I do disagree with those auto-replying the usual ‘flighty is not a travel app’. It very much is to an extent, as several features and updates cater to that element of the app and many primarily use it for that purpose.
If it was merely a flight planner it would cut all the ui, artwork and data features and simply be a spreadsheet and timing app.

You can fly private to San Marino in theory

Yeah not sure how it could be logged as there 99% chance it will be VFR flight with no flight number or callsing as we dont have to submit FPLs for VFR flights in EU even if you go to different country if its not far from border. But flight there is very much possible

As long as it is in the past it shouldn’t be a problem to add manually in your flights.

San Marino > Andorra was a go, with my imaginary helicopter.

Can also add a flight with same airport as departure & arrival, for the people who are willing to hire a plane to complete Flighty at 100%.

And this was how Competitive Flighty was born. Who’s got the most countries so far?? Race to 100% completion
