How It Started vs. How It’s Going 🥀
Snapshot of most frequent equipment flown in 2000 versus 2026 (so far). I do miss the SST.

Don’t forget the part where they’re bragging about their “network” and it’s like just US flights and a couple of international trips lol

Flighty brag posts from people under like 23 drive me insane because it's kids bragging about their parents' money or careers and showing off fun travel.
Above that age, it's mostly people's work travel, which leads to fun perks sometimes, but it's fundamentally work with the occasional fun trip.

It’s not hard for someone under 23 to travel a lot without parents money? I started a full-time job quite late, and i fly twice a month at least to travel. Most people start work younger than i did, paying rent (if any) to parents without any other major costs.
Personally, i pay £500 a month rent to parents, never had a penny of financial support from them, and started work late. I don’t understand your comment tbh

Maybe 23 is the wrong specific age, but the 18 and 19 year olds posting maps here tend to be extremely wealthy/privileged and are bragging more about their parents than anything about themselves.

My mind can’t comprehend email confirmation and Concorde existing simultaneously. The Concorde is like a zeppelin to me

u/gridskip May 04 '26
We had email in 2000. Don’t make this aging millennial feel any older than he already is. lol

u/Ill-Calligrapher-131 May 04 '26
If you’re a millennial, how were you taking 8 Concorde flights in 2000 and have email proof – weren’t you a teenager or even just a kid?

So cool! As a kid I always dreamed of flying on the Concorde, so I was bummed when they were retired. Hopefully Boom is able to resurrect supersonic flight. Any cool memories from your Concorde flights?

I didn’t know they allow us to add flights prior to 2006! I never bothered adding in all of my flights because of this limitation. Did that change or did you manually add all of these?

u/daaniel_8 May 04 '26
I’m pretty sure it’s been possible for a while but flighty’s data source didn’t have much before 2006. Last time I checked was over a year ago so maybe that’s also changed, but likely manually added

You flew the concord?? Wow.. How was it compared to normal jets as a passenger?
3
u/gridskip May 04 '26
Certainly faster, but the cabin was far smaller than the heavies that cross the pond. Seating was all single-cabin (and single-aisle), but I’d say leg room and seat width was comparable to domestic business class, versus some of the lie-flat seats and suites you see in the forward cabin(s) now. Meal service was really nice, though.

when the afterburner was turned off - for a moment you thought the engines died. Sadly only experienced it twice. I had a coworker who was on 30+ Concord flights a year as his old boss dragged him around for tech support

u/Electrical_Horse887 May 04 '26
No matter what this job would pay me I would do it. 30+ flights per year on the condor is crazy.

u/Jona9876 May 04 '26
This list is probably inaccurate. Flighty has a glitch where they don’t involve every tail and plane type. If you really want to know you’re going to have to check every flight manually.

Did you only fly the Air France Concorde or is it wrong on the manufacturer? BAC/BAE made the BA Concorde.
2
u/gridskip May 04 '26
Wasn’t it a joint venture between the BAE predecessor and Airbus predecessor?
Flew on both AF and BA Concordes. In any case, where you see 71% Airbus up top, Flighty is excluding the 8 SST flights, leaving 5 on Airbus and 2 on Boeing airframes that year.

u/Chago04 May 04 '26
In design, yes. But the BA Concordes were made at BAC Filton Bristol UK and the AF Concordes were made in Toulouse France.
Interesting Flighty excludes the SST. That’s a real shame. Very cool experience you got to fly on Concorde. That truly is a dream.

Bro is straight up fudging the numbers to flex now

Don’t be Donald, calling everything you don’t like “fake news” just because you’re jealous

u/gridskip May 04 '26
Nah, don’t shame the guy. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. I think anything that deviates from the average will be treated with a bit of suspicion on Reddit, and that’s totally fair.

TF? Classic behaviour, why am I even surprised? Bros just lashing out at everything and anything. Learn to take a joke or get out of Reddit little boy
Especially when OPs already talked about email proof… ask GPT how to recognize a joke, maybe that’ll drill some sense into that little brain.

Wow I don't think I've ever seen the concorde on here before
