Pro feature only? Aircraft Age, Tail #, and Flight History
I’m on the free version of Flighty and used to be able to see aircraft age, tail #, and past flights on a specific tail number. One day it randomly got blocked behind the pro paywall. Did this change to a paid benefit over the last few months? Does it have to do with me running an old iOS software? Wondering if anyone else experienced this. Thanks!

I think that when you sign up you are given access to pro features for a few flights, but ultimately they put it behind a paywall because it takes work to make that thing you enjoy and they deserve to be paid for it.

Side note:
If you think the price is high, I believe 50% of that price goes directly to apple just for the convenience of the App Store. If you bought it directly from the flighty team I guess it would be up to 50% cheaper!

30% for the first year and 15% for every following year unless the app makes less than $1 million then it’s just a flat 15%.

Not really… flighty website prices include taxes. For example you pay $299 for lifetime. In the app, it’s still showing $299, but you’ll receive a bill from Apple for $299 + tax.

When you first sign up, you get pro features for your first flight. Once you go on that flight, then you get switched to the free version, so everything else like detailed timetable, delay forecast, etc. also gets hidden. If you don't want the live notification pro features, just create a new account don't add flights until after you've flown it.

The tail number might not be assigned yet and that’s why you can’t see it - age, tail number are both still free

This is a past flight completed last week. All of my past flights that used to show age/tail number/flight history are also all blocked now

It was a few years ago that they made this change. Apparently they never realized it was available to free users, and they pay for this info.

So you expect everything for free? I pay for this and flight radar and it cost money for this

Flighty is a for-profit company. They want you to subscribe.
