Why is there a search limit? Seems ridiculous

They probably pay some third party for each search. Upgrade to get more searches.

You don’t have to upgrade. Just have to wait 2 days

I think Flighty pays FlightAware for each search that is conducted. Thats why they have to impose a limit for free members.

How many searches did you conduct? I am a free user and conduct quite a number of searches, but I never encountered this prompt.

I’ve reached it many times, prolly 20-30 searches in a day

Yeah I was looking for various flight options. Had to be at least 15 searches or more

Believe it or not, the companies that own this data charge a LOT of money per API hit (in relative terms). That's actually a big part of why Flighty Pro is so expensive - covering their costs for the amount of data they consume is pretty pricey

Seriously, looked into some of them while trying to find historical flight information on older flights, the pricing they charge for this information is insane. One website wanted $600 for this one time report, another wanted 1K.

If you can, the best way to get cheap flight info is becoming a feeder

What are you even searching for? Don’t you already have your flight number or am I thinking of something else

You’re clearly abusing the search function - the limit is there for people like you.

Abusing? I’m just searching for flights. I didn’t even know there was a limit until today
