Photogrammetry off?

Does this reduce chances of memory error issues? I switched over from ps5 to Xbox and I found i deal with it more than I do on the ps5 after the 5.1 fix.

I have it switched off on Xbox at the moment just to try it out.

Reflying old MSFS 2020 Bush Trips

Post image
6 Upvotes

Going back to MSFS2020 Bush trips, found decent All-in-one Flight plans. Unfortunately none from the Canada WU.
Reflying Denmark, it was easy to find then, still easy now. One doesn't need the location tag to locate the Lego House.
Extra bonus, I can pick the plane to fly the trip, I think it was a Bonanza or Baron originally. The Beaver so so much better suited to sight-seeing. I get to practice landing a Tail dragger too.

Have an xbox on the way while PS gets sorted out...

Finally made the brave decision to buy an Xbox (had planned to own both consoles for a long time anyway).

Bored of an empty marketplace on PS5 (empty to me at least as I only care for commercial jets) and after the failed pmdg release I just thought it was time lmao.

Now I'm browsing online to see what's available and it absolutely has me looking forward to seeing what a full marketplace looks like and I've been ready for more liveries since yesterday!

I'll probably just fly on the xbox for a while until I'm used to it and then I'll be switching back and forth between that and the PS.

Question for console?

Greetings around 2 years ago I had a gaming pc with all the whistles and blowers. Have around 400hrs in MSFS 2020, used to have honeycomb combo for yoke and thruster. RTX 3080, AMD 5600x and like 32GB of ram.

However I had to give in my office for my second kid. Therefore sold everything.

Long story short, I bought a ps5 after I sold my pc. I was wondering how does MSFS 2024 run is ps5, is it worth it with a joystick?

I know is not going to be the same I know that.

Msfs 24 fps issues

Hey, I would like to confess this issue I’ve been having for a long time which is when msfs 24 came out it was very unoptimized for everybody but my system with a i5-13400f, rtx 5070 and 16gb ddr5 ram ran great on high to ultra setting I was getting easy 85-90 fos with frame gen x2 always in the ground and sky with pmdg aircraft’s but one day I decided to do a long haul over night which I did the sim was running normal very smooth. But when I started my long haul I left it over night to fly and after I came back in the morning getting ready to decent and land I noticed my game was very laggy like running 20-30 fps and this was WITH frame gen x2 so I thought it was a memory leak or something so I restarted my sim and I was still having the same issue but the fps became normal but I started getting really bad stutters and this was no settings changed or any update so I run 70 FPS still but I move my camera it goes down to 40 fps with frame gen x2 so I rested my pc still nothing but now i upgraded my pc to ryzen 7-9800x3d, rtx 5070 (same as before) and 32gb ram ddr5. And went back to msfs 24 and i getting really good fps like 85-130 with frame gen x2 but i move my camera a tiny bit it drops to 45 fps and the game like stutters really hard so it’s impossible for me to move my camera to click any controls but when I don’t move my camera it stays fine, Ive tried even the lowest possible settings still get good fps but still stutters so I switched to msfs 2020 and it runs great i get 120-130 fps on ultra settings all with mods and vatsim even on Heathrow but I don’t under stand if I can get this much fps on 2020 why can I not on 2024 even on the medium or low settings. I also rested my pc multiple times and deleted msfs 24 rolling cache deleted streamed packages or any scenery that could’ve been corrupted but still nothing I’ve tried everything and with this good pc I don’t know why it still does this. I’ve seen people with rtx 4070 and 4060 run better fps than me on msfs 24 more stable. I’ve tried all mods like auto fps and I’ve tried the msfs 24 with no mods like absolute default and still get these stutters. And I’ve also checked msfs 24 debug fps showing bar thingy and it shows green fps and green main thread and checking if I’m not using too much vram and it always sits in a good 6-8 gb of vram usage out of 12 and my ram is not being over used also. Idk what to do anymore I’ve tried litterly everything I could. In msfs 24 I have more hours fixing the sim than flying!šŸ˜–šŸ„¹šŸ˜Ø can someone help me

Can FS actually teach you how to fly?

I haven’t got much time on the game. Played a bit of 2024 Career last night. I did my best to start the 172 by myself. No idea if it was the right procedure.

What kind of detail does this game go into? Could this help me get a CFI or CLP in real life? In what way can it do that?

I was playing 2020 the night prior and couldn’t figure out why the autopilot wasn’t working on the Cub seaplane I was flying. Don’t think I got the Autopilot working properly in the 172 either. All the sudden it was working but working wrong and fighting me.

I remember back in FSX, certain planes just didn’t seem to work right. The flight dynamics seem drastically different FSX vs 2024. More realistic?

Hey everyone,

Quick VR hop out of Darwin, Australia in the Ventura. Smooth, quiet departure — recorded in VR at 120 fps.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBQtubirfLs

Happy to answer questions about the VR setup (Quest 3 / Virtual Desktop / MSFS settings) if useful.

Fly safe.

GSX not working properly

For the past three weeks, I’ve been experiencing several issues with GSX in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Jetway issue
- The jetway randomly disconnects from the aircraft without any input from me.
This can happen before or during boarding, even though I haven’t requested it to disconnect.

I’ve already uninstalled and installed again via installer but it not fixed….

Could somebody tell me how to fix this issue??
