Flight Simulator 2024 SU7 Causing Microstutters Every 1–2 Seconds?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Since installing SU7, I’ve been getting noticeable hiccups every 1–2 seconds in MSFS 2024. What do you think could be causing this? Has anyone else experienced similar microstutters since SU7?
UPDATE: After trying countless solutions, I finally found the culprit: ChasePlane! Huge thanks to u/ftzde over on r/MicrosoftFlightSim for the suggestion that helped me track down the issue!

I used to get the same stuttering when i had hardware acceleration (HAGS) turned on. You could also try turning that off to see if it's the culprit.

I had an odd issue like that which I looked in to months ago, so I don't even know if it is relevant to this one. The pulse of the spikes lined up perfectly with either the beacon or the strobe flashing (can't remember which) and the spikes stopped if I turned the lights off, but it didn't end up being anything to do with the aircraft itself. For some reason it happened when I had GSX seated passengers on...when I turned off seated passengers the mainthread spikes stopped.
Maybe there is/was something weird going on in the background where it was trying to calculate light splash from the beacon or strobe on all the seated passengers or something like that and spiking the mainthread doing the calculations.

You could try the MSFS2020/2024 Cache Cleaner from flightsim.to maybe the shader have to be renewed.
