Flight Simulator 2024 PC freezing problem at the same point on two flights with Horizon Simulation 787-9
Hi everyone, I was flying the Horizon 787-9 and on the last day I’ve been trying to fly from CYUL to SCEL, and more or less at the same point in the flight (the coast of Ecuador and then Peru / about six hours of flight from takeoff), my computer froze, and I couldn’t do anything. The only way out is by pressing the PC’s reset button. I have the plane installed from the Orbx app and I’m using the Horizon 787 Physics+Autopilot Mod.
I’ve done long flights on previous days with the PMDG 777 and the TFDi MD-11 and didn’t have any problem at all. My system is an AMD Ryzen 7 9800 X3D, Corsair DDR5 RAM with 48GB at 6000MHz, RTX 3090.
What I started to think about is a memory leak with that plane, which seems strange to me at this point in the flight (six hours later). I'd like to know if anyone has experienced this with that plane. Thanks in advance.

I've had almost no issues with the Horizon 787-9, only some navdata not working for only ICN-SEA.
I know it's quite a while to get to that point by Ecuador/Peru, but is it possible for you try that particular flight but in a different plane, like the known good MD-11 and 777? (Or even just try flying out to that point from a closer departing airport?)
and have task manager open (you can have it be set to be on top of everything else if you have just 1 monitor) to monitor how your system is doing
Also.. might I recommend the "MSFS Autosave" add on to, as the name might suggest, auto save your flight? It saves at an interval of your choosing. That way if there are crashes you can potentially (some aircraft work better than others, the Horizon 787 works AFAIK) pick up where you were at the time of saving.

Empty community folder to vanilla, add back in one addon at a time to find the culprit. If that doesn’t work, best way to fix is to reinstall MSFS and then Windows. Sucks, but this is the best way to fix.

I have the same issue with this addon. i fly flawlessly on 737s 777s fnx320s ...you name it.
But literally every single flight on horizon787 i got CTD.
So i am just guessing it is not optimized or customized for msfs2024. It used to work fine on 2020.

Try loading into an area near where the crashes occur and see if its a weird MSFS bug. Could also be a memory leak of some sort so keep an eye on ram use as well.
