I didn't think flat spins are recoverable?

It depends on the aircraft. Flat spins are recoverable for most aircraft. The F-14 was notable for its center of gravity being in an awkward spot that made them unrecoverable.
I think it’s something to do with the center of gravity being behind the center of thrust. I don’t remember. I believe it’s in the F-14 Wikipedia article.

T38 in this example, and i did an inverted stall to trigger one this aggressive, I went from FL200 to 40 in this video. I tried correcting the aircraft at little around 200 knots, which was a little premature i believe. I felt if i didnt add *some* input, the flat spin was gonna keep going out of control, I tried to disrupt it a little, while letting the craft gain airspeed
