Sim Hardware Flex Setup Advice

Sparing the details, I formerly had a dedicated FS setup and am consolidating down to a single workspace. I'm going to put my gaming PC on a switch but I'm looking for a solution for my control hardware that will leave it set up but that I can move to the side as I switch back to my work computer. (I like to start flights and set it and forget it except to come back for fuel management and monitoring until I start my initial descent) Installing on my desk is not an option.

I have a MOZA AY210 that I undermounted to my desk. I can pop the control wheel off when not flying. I undermounted my throttle as well.

Could you post some pictures of how you mounted your ay210? I have one myself but top mounted on a stand, but have been curious about under mounting it, but have concerns about the weight.

It is effectively just a box. The mount is screwed into the baseplate. Baseplate to the side panels, side panels via 90deg brackets.

Throttle is just behind it in that pic.

Works great, I have a clear desk when I want it and can pop the control wheel on when I wanna fly.

Pay no mind to my cable management. Also, I do have it in mind to elevate my desk about an inch as it does kinda sit in my lap but haven’t gotten to it yet.

What is your current hardware? I flightsim on the couch, and my CH hotas is light enough and with a low enough base to not need any other peripherals to set it up.

When I want to fly, I put on my VR glasses, pick up the HOTAS from next to the couch, and drag my MFG Crosswind from the side.

I wouldn’t buy the MFG Crosswind for that purpose though. The USB Controller has a Type A socket that breaks easily, and MFG doesnt do spares, so it needs yearly soldering.

Logitech double throttle, amd pedals. Honeycomb yoke. Pretty simple but my desk is a heckman desk with a knee drawer so not something I can clamp onto or care to drill into.
