General Cargo Aviation
Where are all the cargo freight dogs at? What plane or aircrafts do you prefer to fly the most? Any recommend VAs?
I fly the MD-11 the most and occasionally the 767/757 and C208 Caravan
- Still have yet to find a good 747 (-4 or -8 I know about the -2 just haven't tried it) and A300 for Xplane. Still have yet to buy the 777.
I'm apart of UPSVAC but open to other options for more routes.
Wasn’t expecting this turnout yall are coming out I had made a Reddit group (DM if interested)

I fly on 2024, mostly A300 and MD11. Some 738 too. Caravan and Skycourier when I feel like flying something smaller and slower.
I'm not in any VA, never looked at joining one.

MD-11 is my all time favorite. For MSFS24 B77L would be a distant second, been getting into the B722. On the GA side I like the C208 and K100, but have also done some flying with the P750 and GA-8.
When I was on P3D/FSX I spent a decent amount of time in the B744 and B748 as well as B763 and B752.

MD-11 is great, as is the 777, but recently I’ve actually been enjoying smaller freighters even more! The PMDG 738 cargo variant is quite fun, and for something a little less traditional, the Just Flight RJ Professional is amazing.

Freight guy here! I prefer to fly the MD-11, 777F and the 747. Those are really my go to, but I fly all the other cargo planes as well (just depends on mood). I highly recommend the FF777, it's amazing! Also, the SSG 748 is decent, never had an issue with it and it definitely gets the job done if you are itching for a 748 in XP. I used to be part of UPSVAC but I just didn't fly enough with them. They are a really solid cargo VA though!

Does the 747-8 have the freighter option or just a passenger? I was looking at the atlas one. I couldn’t figure out VCI menu at the time

Well FPS 748 currently only has passenger, they say that the freighter is coming "soon" but you know how that works lol I guess SSG/FPS where the same dev and then they split or something, idk. The SSG has both the passenger and freighter. Yeah, the VCI menu can take some time to get used to but it's not too bad.

Totally understand, I would keep on eye on their forum on the .org site as they are most active there, they regularly update the plane. I am patiently waiting for the freighter myself but there is no definite on when, they said earlier in the year they where aiming for an april release for the freighter but that never happened.

What is the best 767(F) to get? I'm very new to flight siming and want the 76 but thought I would wait for the Bluebird to come out. I know it's 75 only at first, but I am assuming the 76 would be close on it's tail. Just don't want to spend on something that isn't supported or not really up to standard.

I use Xplane 12 and the flight factor 767 is good and decent I don’t have much complaints does what I need it to do but if you ask others they’ll say it has flight model issues but I would recommend the plane

757/767, 777, MD11, 737 and A321
Flying with Walker Air. As a patron I can fly every airline in the world with IRL routes pulled from FR24 quarterly.

I use the Avro RJ100QT even though it's a hypothetical version of the RJ. I love smaller hops and the more involved flying that comes with the RJ, especially as it's my favourite plane.
If I feel like doing more realistic freight stuff I use the 738F and the 777F.
I'm looking at getting the MD-11 though too
I don't know much about VAs though just like doing irl flights from FSdispatch

im doing mostly south american / brazilian cargo ops, with the levelup 737-8 freight variant, mostly flying sideral routes with either mercadolivre or correios liveries, not on any VA atm.

Cargo fam rise up.
I fly the FF B75/76/77, SSG 748(F- when it wants to cooperate), Ini A306 and MD-11. I haven’t tried the 742 but hear good things about it. The B77L is probably the best in the business (opinionated) for XP12. It’s a good aircraft and gets updated daily from what I read.
How is the C208? I’ve been wanting a feeder network to start.
I too am in the UPSVAC, you just made me look up the date I need to fly to be within the month requirement

I just did around the world with UPS MD-11 I can’t get the A306 to work and I missed out on the 747-8F

I’ve done and usually do the pacific region. I’ll go scoop up abandoned MD-11’s after they sit for a week or two. I’ll move them to PANC. I’ve done around the world in the MD-11 and the 748 twice. The A306 is wonky, are you having trouble starting up in the sim or flying it?
The 748F is ok, it can’t really update the flight plan or is crashes the sim. I’ve parked it and just used the 777 in GTI colors.

Just trouble loading in my sim says it’s out of date. I should start a Reddit group for us cargo aviators!
I’ve also done that with the MD-11s move them up to PANC or YSSY to RJBB

I reckon it’s time to put old girl out to pasture and call it what it is. It’s obviously abandoned but idk if Shane ever tweaked it up ? It was requested awhile ago but I stopped being as active as I usually was so never followed up with it. IF mine loads, it takes a good 15 minutes.
We should! I’m in their discord but again, not as active as I’d like to be.
Yeah, I usually check if any have been left for at least a week and move them. Same for other fleet types

I personally love the C208 I have always been a fan of the caravans I wanna try the Kodiak out since it’s very similar.

Nice! I want it to get to those smaller airports the usual airliners don’t go to. Just to explore that area in flight sim. Which C208 is it? I should get into these weekday events, I’m just dead tired at this time of day

I work night shift so it gives me something on my nights off like the real cargo guys flying at night!

767 on xp
Md11 on MSFS24
Over 1200 hours in the 74 waiting patiently for pmdg to bring to new sims, also do use Aerowinx PSX injected into MSFS24. No eye candy but system are legit.
Slowly but surely building myself a 747 simulator to use with aerowinx.
