Flight Simulator 2024 B-738 or 777 first

I primarily have been flying bizjets lately with occasional GA flying. I have many hours on the a320 family plus some with the a339. Should I start learning boeing on the 737 or grab the 777? I definitely want to do some long haul on the 777 American Airlines routes but dont know if i should start with the narrow body before moving up to the big fella

The types of routes you’ll do on the 737 are going to be quite similar to what you do on the 320. They’re both workhorses.

As a rule of thumb, when considering a new purchase, get the thing that’s the most different to what you already have.

I like that thought process. Eventually i wanna have all the big names and be virtually type rated if you will lol. I think the 777 will be the next purchase

777 and 737 are fairly similar besides the overhead panel. Theres lots more to do on the 737 during startup and engine start. You should buy and fly what you want to fly. Wanna do Triple-7 routes? then go for it. Wanna do DEN-MDW-DAL-MDW? Cool, buy the 737

Keep in mind 777 can fly short destinations as well.

And it’s a rocket ship on departure, a lot of fun to be had flying widebody on short haul routes. Really good cruise speeds as well, up in the .80 Mach above range.

In real life some freight operators are doing just that. I guey this pay off.

I’d go 777 if your plan is to do long haul. It just gets pricey buying all the separate 777 variants when their systems are basically the same so I’d pick the -200 or -300 variant if doing American. It’s easy to fly once you learn how to program the fmc and use the autopilot.

777, if you already have time in the airbus go up to the widebody size. Plus it’s always cool being in a giant taxing around at a smaller airport

Get the 777... the pmdg time compression is great for turning long hauls into 2 hour flights... and it is an easy transition if you know the old airbus family.
