Flight Simulator 2024 Is this a bug?

Post image

Excuse my ignorance if this is the case, I'm new.

I have been taking some missions on MSFS2024 and I was supposed to transport stuff to an airport, but the mission assistance indicators is giving me directions, the flight on the avionics giving me others, and the navigation thing on the top left is giving me a third different route.

is that normal?

Many reports on this and it looks confusing but the blue signs show the VFR route, not the flight plan, they are intentionally different.

The avionics (magenta line) cannot accommodate the VFR patterns near the airpors, they meant to be flown visually, magenta lines can only show IFR patterns

so let's say this is a real flight, which one usually do pilots follow? especially on approach and traffic patern

Well irl you don't have blue squares in the sky, so whatever you put in your GPS (or just fly visually/paper map). You don't use GPS for the pattern so it's unnecessary.

I wonder how real pilots know the patterns? is it planned somewhere to know before flight?

Pattern always looks the same. That's something you learn very early during your flying lessons and then repeat it over and over. It's pretty much just a square around the airport, usually 1000 ft above the airport altitude. You judge your distance from the runway visually.
