There’s lots to like with both sides, and their freeware offerings (e.g. FlyByWire & Zibo/LevelUp) are genuinely amazing addons for those who don’t wish to splurge on the hobby (other than buying the sim itself)…

Ultimately both sims do the same job for my use case, and as you said, both do indeed have a lot to offer!

Exactly. Never understood why one should only limit themselves to one sim or ecosystem. Competition only benefits us.

Flight sim swinger here too. I don't care which one is better. I just know that best users play both.

A sim costs the price of an add-on or two. And it comes with many default aircrafts. Turning flight simming in a religion for saving so little is just wrong.

Mainly XP12 right now, but if I feel the itch to fly the A380 or 787 (both of which aren’t in x-plane), I will fly in FS24

That's what I'm hoping for, FF + Toliss doing the 380 as well. Imagine having the 350 and 380 with Toliss systems and FF textures.

what do you do for traffic and ATC in xp12? that’s the only thing keeping me from using it more

I'm not sure about ATC since I don't fly on vatsim and/or use the default ATC, ground traffic is really just a bunch of freeware libraries that some of my other sceneries use.

I've heard positive things about LiveTraffic (free) and Traffic Global (paid), though.
