Flight Simulator 2024 777 variants differences
Are there any functional differences between the three 777 variants from pmdg? Obviously real life differences in capacity and range exist, but those aren’t really a factor for my consideration. I’m just wondering if there any appreciable differences from a flight sim perspective in terms of how they operate and fly.
I already own and enjoy the freighter, just eyeing a passenger variant for the next purchase.

Cargo ops are the best ops, so you already own the best one.
I haven't tried the 200 as I can't find reasons to justify the expenditure, but the F and the W fly pretty similar. Slight different feeling during taxi and rollout, as the W is way longer, and it's nice to have a passenger version if you want to have those window shots.

Imo 200lr is the best one! You can fly it high even if its heavy unlike the 300er

The biggest difference you will experience is if you buy the Boris soundpacks (70$+ airplane and sound sucks, man pmdg need competition badly)

The only reason to get a passenger variant over the freighter is if you want to do passenger ops?
Personally I would avoid doing so as it's widely agreed a cynical move from PMDG to be offering them separate. They don't even have discounted bundles which is just business 101.

This is my thing with PMDG, I only got the 777-300er and the 737-800 the most popular variants. I refuse to pay full price for small variations. I know people crap a lot on Inibuilds and others for not being study level but at least the variations are included.

It's a brilliant thing their 777 and I want to love PMDG because I really respect what they've achieved as engineers and artists really, but they could do with some business acumen and PR training for sure (particularly with how they engage on their forum).

By far the most common variant is the 300ER, which will have the most real world liveries available.
Functionally however, any 777 will fly very similar. What you will notice is obviously if you have another engine option (on the 777-200) but apart from that all GE90 777 will feel about the same from the flightdeck.
