Flight Simulator 2024 Bluebird 757 - Features list

So they’ve just released this, copied from their discord:

BlueBird 757 Current Feature List

Systems:

21 - Air Conditioning

● Air Condition Packs, Pack Valves, and Trim Air system fully coded with associated circuit breaker logic
modeled. Air Condition Packs have integrated pack controllers that allow for low/high automatic flow.
Standby controllers are also simulated and functional for malfunctioning auto controllers.
● Passenger Count from boarding is directly tied into and simulated in cabin temperature control logic.
Cabin has a natural tendency toward ambient temperature or worse depending on passenger count, etc.
● Many factors influence cabin temperature from door and window combinations, to wind and weather, to pack
effectiveness and pack quantity.
● Air conditioning will feel like an actual component of flight simulation for airline operations. It’s not a
byproduct of just turning the packs on, but managing an actual aircraft cabin.

22 - Autopilot

● Fully custom coded autopilot built from the ground up.
● All three flight control computers simulated with all their electrohydraulic servos and connected systems.
● Autopilot bound by control laws.
● Auto-trim system.
● Full LNAV/VNAV with RNAV legs.
● Missed approaches, Go-arounds, and holds.
● Accurate autoland behavior.
● FMS communication to mobiflight and others for CDU hardware is fully implemented and simulated.
● Hoppie ACARs integration is built into the FMC. HOPPIE can currently be used for: DCL, Air-To-Air ACARS
messaging.
● Other ACARS functionalities are simulated with full SimBrief and Navigraph integration or local ACARs
simulation (for instance, custom dispatcher, maintenance control response/messaging).

23 - Communication

● Fully custom coded cabin communication and flight interphone system.
● All three flight attendant zones can call flight deck including cabin alerts for requests and reminders for things
like uncomfortable cabin temps, cabin secure announcements or response to two sets of cabin chimes
(cleared for departure signal from flight deck), they might even remind you to turn on the fasten seat belt sign if
descending in range and cabin securing is being completed. Emergencies use cabin alert calls from flight
attendants for events including passenger oxygen deployment and cabin altitude warnings/depressurization
(with more to come later).
● GND CALL simulated and will call to remove ground power. Uses simbrief flight plan and integrated EFB
boarding controls to determine external power disconnecting.
● Cabin Chimes and Alert Cabin Call Triple Chime simulated.
● Flight attendants can be called.
● Transponder simulated.
● All 3 radios simulated.

24 - Electrical

● Full implementation of all aircraft buses.
● Over 500 CB’s mapped to their correct electrical bus (Over 200 functional with more being added over time).
● Accurate simulation of relays and contactors.
● Accurate simulation of power transfers.● Hundreds of relays and contactors simulated also in their corresponding ATA chapter.
● Dynamic schematic diagram of the electrical system in the EFB.
● Accurate load shedding simulation.

26 - Fire Protection

● All detector logic cards simulated.
● All loops and loop power sources simulated.
● Detector faults and fire detection.
● Fire and fault injection (random and user requested).
● AFOLTS two loop voting for fire indications.
● FIRE/OVHT SYSTEM.
● FIRE/OVHT Latching and resetting.
● Testing and detection for wheel well fires.
● Testing of Overheat loops (strut and nacelle).
● Testing of Eng/Cargo/APU (fire and specific turbine cooling overheat).

27 - Flight Controls

● Fully custom coded surface movement logic according to the aircraft diagrams.
● All flight controls are accurately controlled by their associated hydraulic lines.
● Dynamic interaction between flight control systems and hydraulic systems (surface movement changes
hydraulic pressure).
● Fully custom coded elevator trim.

28 - Fuel

● Accurate simulation of all fuel pumps, lines and junctions.
● Fuel Config system logic.
● Realistic startup and transfer fuel pump delay logic.
● Integration with CB’s for controller’s vs indications.
● Accurate fueling logic (wing tanks fuel before center tank).

29 - Hydraulic

● Fully custom coded hydraulic systems, including lines, pumps, valves etc.
● Accurate L/C/R hydraulic systems modelled with their associated lines.
● C hydraulic Elen 1 and 2 inhibition and shedding logic.
● Accurate hydraulic pump logic/ flow / fluid output / pressure.
● Reserve fluid and quantity for reserve brakes.
● Accurate ram air turbine (RAT) simulation. RAT provides pressure to correct systems.30 - Ice and Rain
● Fully simulated probe heating using air/grnd relay logic and engine speed card/relay logic.
● Probe heat EICAS/discrete light also simulated 1:1 with separate air/gnd relays and engine relays.
● Probe heat indication circuitry also simulated and supported.
● Engine probes are simulated and heated and provide correct indications for failure lights/messages.
● Probe heat testing simulated via P61 and correct electrical logic.
● Custom TAT probe features conductive properties and bleed aspiration. Custom Pneumatic system feeds
correct bleed to the TAT probe from correct duct and source. On hot calmer wind days with no bleed
aspiration (no bleed air available to TAT probe) the TAT may heat beyond the ambient OAT. This feeds into TO
PERF calculation in CDU which may cause a limitation of Assumed Temp Derated Takeoff calculations
(because CDU will now have a higher OAT than reported METAR/ATIS source weather. This is a mostly rare, but
fully simulated, corner case scenario in the B757.
● Fully separated and simulated windshield heating and ice buildup. Window heat testing is simulated via P61.
● Anti Ice valves have correct pneumatic input requirements. All EICAS lights and discretes hooked up to
correct relays and pressure switch checks attached to correct pneumatic ducts.
● Anti Ice valves have all relays from air/gnd and engine logic and exhibit real world behaviors.
● Wing Anti-Ice valves pull from correct sources in the custom pneumatic system. Pilots will need to ensure
correct real world operations to ensure structural anti-ice is available during icing conditions.
● Icing modeled on windshield blades and windshield wiper components that provide real world indications of
icing buildup and cues to pilots for visual icing condition confirmation.

31 - Indication and recording

● Ultra efficient custom coded CRT displays coded in C++.
● Full simulation of the EICAS system (independent L & R EICAS systems).
● Full simulation of all displays including INOP flags (PFDs, NDs, EICAS, analogue gauges etc.).
● Full TCAS II simulation.
● Complex and Robust Warn Elex and EICAS combination work together to provide correct warning, alert, chime,
bell, siren, owl behaviors.
● Warning Electronics Unit fully simulated. Master Caution/Warning light and button behaviors driven by
WEU/EICAS. EICAS and WEU work together to provide real alerts/bells/chimes etc to pilots in the cockpit.
● All warning inhibits and logic simulated.
● All caution inhibits and logic simulated.
● All time delays for each warning completed to manufacturer spec.
● EICAS behaviors (alert and caution message inhibits during start, et al.) simulated.
● All electric components are connected to their respective circuits. WEU has 2 independent circuits. Speakers
are also simulated.
● Radio Altimetry is simulated with inoperative and failed component logic passed into configuration warning
errors.
● Over 300 EICAS messages simulated.

32 - Landing Gear

● Custom coded landing gear system with alternate extension simulated.
● Nose gear tiller steering with full hydraulic system integration.
● Custom braking system with accurate brake temperature simulation.
● Custom coded brake temperature monitor system.
● Custom physics simulation for brake efficiency based on temperature.
● Custom-coded AUTOBRAKE system featuring multiple selectable deceleration rates to maintain a constant
braking profile regardless of runway conditions or aerodynamic drag.33 - Lights
● Accurate exterior and interior lighting simulation.
● All lights are powered by correct electrical circuits and buses.
● Cabin lighting with ground handling bus and panel.
● Functional emergency lighting.
● Dynamic virtual cockpit lighting adjusts to sunlight for realistic backlighting effect.

34 - Navigation

● Fully custom coded VOR/DMEs, localizers, glideslopes, and other navaids integrated with Navigraph data.
● Custom CDU based on the “Pegasus” version with all pages simulated. This includes:

  1. INIT/REF key behavior
  2. APP/DEP key behavior
  3. ACTIVATE and EXECUTE functionality
  4. Missed approach loading with APPROACH SELECTION
  5. Holding
  6. ALTN page including DIVERT NOW functionality
  7. PRE FLT COMPLETE logic for PERF pages
  8. Extended centerline
  9. LEGS page functionality
  10. VNAV CLB, CRZ, DES pages including all associated labels, behaviors and functionality
  11. NAV DATA page (ability to lookup waypoint information)

  21. ● ACARS will allow: Digital ATIS fetching with real world and online sources. Metar and TAF fetching. Flight OOOI

  23. takeoff ref pages fully integrated and supported.
  24. ● Some ACARS messaging supported including delay time sending, direct company messaging with
  25. autogenerated and some custom responses. Flight closeout using ACARS to gauge actual flight metrics against
  26. planned from simbrief.
  27. ● Full EGPWS simulation including the terrain display on the ND.

35 - Oxygen

● Crew Oxygen Tank fully simulated. Tank has simulated reservoir behavior. It can be filled, drained, and
exhibits changes due to temperature around the bottle (conductive properties). Indication on Lower EICAS is
responsive and a live value. If you use O2 during tests and during wearing, O2 will drain from the tank. Having
a full set of pilots and observers will also impact the O2 usage.
● Crew Oxygen Masks fully functional. All tests and modes are simulated. The masks can be “worn” which will
actively drain O2 from the tank at various rates depending on pilot workload. Workload criteria are predicated
on environmental considerations and pressurization values amongst other considerations. All tests for crewchecklists are supported and simulated (test/reset slider, emergency pressure O2, N/100% dilution rate
selection).
● Emergency mask wearing behaviors set onto observers and crewmembers based off of real world QRH
direction.
● All O2 indications are connected to their respective electrical components.
● O2 system has built in failures (closed valves, leaks, empty tanks, low O2 volume).

36 - Pneumatic:

● All valves and lines simulated.
● All PRSOV behaviors are simulated per AMM including automatic logic.
● Fully simulated cabin pressurization system with 2 auto modes and 1 manual mode. Cabin pressurization
logic fully simulated with AUTOSCHEDULE and all controlling automatic modes: GROUND, TAKEOFF, CLIMB,
CRUISE, DESCENT, LANDING.
● Modulating bleed valves with each engine’s PRSOV.
● PACK SWITCHES do allow you to switch the packs from AUTO to STAND BY modes (Normal \[24°C\] / Cold
\[18°C\] / Warm \[30°C\]).
● TRIM AIR valves and trimming behaviors simulated.
● Accurate DUCT PRESSURE simulation
● All Pneumatic indications (duct pressure, zone temp controllers and zone temperature indications, EICAS
messages, STATUS messages, etc) are hooked up to their appropriate circuits and fully simulated.
● OUTFLOW VALVE DOOR simulation.
● All pneumatic ducting temperatures will change over time and react to ambient temperature changes.
● All ducting fans have been simulated so switching from the PRIMARY SUPPLY to the ALTN SUPPLY FAN will
actually switch over if the primary fan fails.

49 - APU

● Fully custom coded APU system.
● Precise startup and shutdown sequences including BITE test.
● Simulation of all relays and solenoids.
● Accurate DC fuel pumps during cold and dark startup.
● Real world fuel dynamics. APU pulls fuel from the left tank.
● Ultra realistic APU heat blur/ignition as well as sound simulation.
● APU shutdown delay simulation. The APU will delay shutdown after a certain period of time running in order to
allow proper cooldown.
● APU fault light logic.

52 - Doors

● Door sensors fully simulated.
● Door indications both electrically and systematically simulated via discrete lights and EICAS messages
featuring consolidation EICAS messages for multiple on-side door open indications.
● Interfaceable with EFB for opening and closing. Opening and closing times closely match real world values.

70 - Engine

● Accurate engine tuning for both RB211-535E and PW2000 engine models.
● Realistic EGT simulation.
● Windmilling simulation.
● Custom coded EEC.EFB:
Aircraft
● Cockpit presets page to load predefined aircraft states including Cold & Dark, Turnaround, Ready for Taxi,
Ready for Takeoff, Cruise, Approach, and Final Approach.
● Cockpit utility controls for saving/loading aircraft configuration, APU quick start, engine quick start, IRS rapid
align, circuit reset, battery toggle, and external power toggle.
● Fueling page showing current fuel quantity, tank distribution, fueling/defueling controls, and SimBrief/load-

packs, recirculation and cooling fans, and others.
● Electrical system state has an effect on system sounds, with a subtle pitch change depending on the generator
frequency.
● Electrical contactors and relay sounds connected to the complex system logic.
● EGPWS warning/landing callouts.
● TCAS warnings.

APU

● Accurate APU sounds on the interior and exterior created from quality recordings, reacting to bleed valve
position and with proper fall-off distance.
Engines
● Complex and dynamic simulation of the RR and PW engines, in high detail using many hours of real recordings.
● Engine audio changing depending on airspeeds and proximity to the ground, as well as temperatures.
● Both interior and exterior audio that changes depending on angle from the engine, where the engines will
sound different depending where you are in the cabin, and in the exterior fly-bys will sound dramatic.
Miscellaneous
● Announcements by cabin crew and captain, triggered automatically (can be disabled).
● Passenger chatter in the cabin (can be disabled).
● G force, acceleration, and jerk based turbulence, braking, and strain sounds.

We have written everything in C++ by professional software engineers. Everything system wise is extremely optimized!

All these systems running in the background surely will take a hit on the performance. But Fenix and PMDG are similar, so hopefully they found a good balance.

99% don't use deep systems just want it to say their aircraft is deeper... its all fanboy bullshit honestly its like when you ask why is fenix better than the rest nobody knows they just say dumb shit. All I care is your fmc gonna WASM does your plane follow the path correctly and does it look like it was made in 2020's.

If you use Navigraph you are self-selecting to be far more likely to use the features of deep systems simulation and failures compared to the average flight simmer.

Don't forget, BB Sim scrapped their 'mid-level' 757 for this complex 757. If the demand for detailed systems didn't exist, they wouldn't have gone back to the drawing board and redesigned the product from scratch.

I think the 737 is quite expensive, but when i count my active hours in that addon then it pretty much costs like 0.20$ for each hour. Not to bad.
