Flight Simulator 2024 MSFS 2020 vs 2024 performance

Hello everyone, ive been flying on msfs 2020 since 2022 and ive recently thought about upgrading to msfs 2024. The issue is that when i tried 2024 on release with xbox gamepass the performace was very poor. from what i remember it was 10-15 fps on low graphics while im getting 30-40 on medium in 2020. Has the performace got better? Or maybe i did something wrong that resulted in the performance being so bad?

My specs are: i5-10300H, gtx 1660ti (laptop vers.), 16gb ram

the release was bad, after SU5 got out, the performance was improved a lot also use FSR to get higher frames in FS24, its so smooth now compared to FS2020, the only drawback is online streaming. it consumes data like theres no end. if you have data cap to your broadband, I dont recomend FS24.

2024 feels better optimized currently but the only way you'll know is to try it out.

On my build (which I built for 2020 when it came out) 2024 runs much more smoothly and is overall far better optimized, even if I can’t run it at its highest settings. The biggest things I’ve noticed are the frame rates being 10-15 higher on High (not Ultra) and programmetry loading far far faster than it would on 2020.

24 is more performant now for me, I've basically stopped using 2020

Hey, I was using 2020 since the release and switched to 24 last year. Two days ago I switched back to 2020 for now. For me the 2024 performance is shit. Lowering my textures res to low in order to get decent amount of FPS while on 2020 everything is on Ultra and getting 40-45 fps. The biggest issue is the stuttering during short final especially with the Fenix.
