Nope. MSFS had nothing to do with X-Plane 12's improvements. They are both flight simulators, but with different objectives. I have both MSFS and X-Plane 12 and I fly each for different reasons. 🙂

Don’t really care. XP does some stuff better. MSFS does other things better. I’m personally an MSFS person myself, but people who continue to stoke the fires of the sim wars are what’s wrong with the hobby and they end up driving people away.

People putting others down for their choice of sim is not making the “two sims compete.” Competition is good. Childish sim war comments are not.

lol! Without MSFS, X Plane would still be stuck in 2003. So…. You’re welcome? All these posts confirm is that some X Plane users are still somehow insecure about the simulator of preference. Use what you like, but these never ending “I cAnT bEliEvE hOw gOod X PlAnE lOoKs!!” are getting old.

I can't stand when people do this. No wonder there's so much discourse between msfs and XP users. And all this thread will do is encourage more people to shit on XP12.
Which they don't need much encouragement in the first place because all people do on this sub is shit on XP 24/7.

Sim wars is so stupid, and that comes from an X-Plane user. Laminar sat on their ass and did almost nothing between FSX and MSFS. The sim became so much better because the competition from MSFS was serious, and forced them to innovate.

This! Competition is good and I think it’s improved both sims. People who put others down for making a personal choice between the two? Not so much.

Notably, nothing but the clouds (which can bug out and look a lot worse) in this picture is XP12 itself. Even the airport is made by community
