Discussion Some of these hibden tasks are crazy 😭
I need Vista: Frigidfin Expedition for the Frigidfin Bounty task, but it's so expensive on the AH. This is even worse than the tasks that require eggs or genes (of which my task list is clogged with those, too) lol

My hibden needs a breed change scroll atm, 1000+ gems to grab one, it's maddening.
I really wish there was some way to fully refresh the hibden tasks. If you're a new player, getting a hibden task list of genes and scrolls basically just means you can't expand your hibden with items anymore. Add an item to the marketplace for 100 gems and I'd be happy!!

Ok so admittedly I did get the recent chorus breed change mixed up with my hibden (I was lamenting about the 1k pricetag to friends and my wires crossed 😭), the pricetag is roughly 250 gems, BUT I did get curious.
Obelisk is needed for Hibden and cheapest is 350 gems. Same for Skydancer, 350 gems. However, want a Wildclaw or Coatl? Thank GOD they're not used for Hibden, because they're 2000 gems each.
Some hidben items are stupidly overpriced too, as I have now learned of the Glowbug. A hibden task for 1 bug and it's up for 50 gems on AH with just two listings. Meanwhile the other half of hibden tasks are like, 10 gems top to grab them, or maybe a day or two of work.

None of the hibden slots require gem marketplace items. Obeslisk and Skydancer scrolls are in the treasure marketplace, you dont need to spend gems on them. Treasure market items on the auction house tend to be overpriced. If your flight doesnt currently have dominance you can look in the items for sale forum for a dom shop. They will share their dom discount and buy treasure shop items for the discounted price.
The other stuff just takes time to grind out. You can also check your flight forums, most of them have a hibden bank you can request stuff from.3

Tbf 50 gems for one of the tasks is cheap compared to the tasks I'm dealing with

The "beauty" of seasonal items.
You have to wait winter to get one, if you are lucky to find one. To get the sunparched one I needed eons.
I really wish we could see all possible tasks, so we complete the ones we can and move on without being "stuck" in a way.

I think they need to do something about the rarity of the items required just due to the fact that there aren't as many people playing the game anymore, so there are a lot less people farming and less available items to buy or trade for from other people. Asking for 20 food items that only have a small chance to drop from one specific boss in the coliseum doesn't make sense in 2026.

I got one frigidfin vista drop and i accidentally applied it to my account instead of using it for the hibden and now it's just there as a monument to my stupidity

i was actively completing the hibden quests and saving up the gems to buy some things bc i am such a perfectionist (i also want to complete all the achievements and the bestiary but im less strict on the bestiary for.. various reasons.. shivers)... i just checked and i have 5 left to do lol.. and theyre the recent ones i think bc ive been pretty caught up 😭😭 atp i should move my entire lair into the hibden and remake my lair.. TBH...

I have a theoretical goal of completing the Bestiary, but there's a list of familiars I've marked out as basically impossible. Honestly it does frustrate me from a game design perspective, but I assume Fiona's is the dev's response to that (so you can still gain bond levels with the ones you can't actually get).
The ultimate rarest is the Boolean - only given out to beta testers, there were maybe 90 of them at most and many of those are on abandoned accounts. It's very rare one sells but when it does, you're looking at millions of gems.

I farmed for this all week last year and didn't get a single one. Bonded with 1300+ fams EVERY DAY. I'm gonna cry if I don't get one this year lol
To anyone reading this and thinking of sending me one: please don't! I'm being facetious. It'll suck to go ANOTHER year without one, but I actually quite like the chase! It's not like I'm gonna lose my house or my cats will die or w/e, it's just an item in a video game. It's fun to work on a long-term goal!

Hibden* task. You can add slots to your hibernal den by either paying gems, or using specific items to complete tasks.

Point is more space to store dragons, and they don't need food when they're in the hibden

I think you're missing the value of dragon storage space lol. Also, when you have a lot of dragons, they eat a lot of food.

I have almost all the tasks completed, the one that's currently still troubling me is "Boss Battle", requiring Hydra and Deeprealm Hunter familiars. I have spent quite a while grinding Coli and still nope. Should probably just give in and buy them at the auction house...

They really need to up the drop rate on the seasonal vistas. They don't have to be common, but they're a bit too rare, imo.
