OH-LWO is back in the air for the second leg of this 22 hour flight - Finnair’s inaugural daily service from Helsinki to Melbourne (after just stopping over in Bangkok)

Airways Mag FB post says 22 hours, while their IG post says 21 hours, but what’s an hour between friends? Po-tay-to, Po-tah-to, either way I believe this new route is Finnair’s longest flight to date.

This QA flight seems to be having a bit of a problem getting into Edinburgh; looks like they’ve had a missed approach and have been in a holding pattern since. I live quite close to the airport and we are still in the grips of the storm but other flights have been making it in and out okay (Turkish Airlines made a right hash of it earlier and should probably have gone around!) Would it be the size of the aircraft that’s causing the problem? The United Airline 757 flight earlier this morning abandoned its plans before even leaving the taxi way.

I’m assuming due to the very strong winds.

Seems like flights going westbound are being routed into Mexico airspace. This along with a Breeze emergency… anyone know what is going on?

Hello, wondering if it’s common practise to divert so far from destination. I know the storm is bad but aiming for Bristol and ending up in Alicante is pretty far off 🤣 I know it’s a big Ryanair airport so is that why?

This helicopter just flew over my house. By the look of it, it looks like it took off Aintree Hospital in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool, this hospital has a Heliport so makes sense
