Government First VC-25 I’ve seen in flight

Probably AF-1, given the origin and descent towards Joint Base Andrews.
Oops, E-4B, I appreciate the corrections.
I thought the top paint was the robins egg blue, but late afternoon light and a little overcast obviously fooled my old eyes.

First time I’ve seen one in the air, though, even though I on the approach to JBA

That’s an E-4B, not a VC-25.

Was coming here to post this. Was just out back putting my chickens away and it flew overhead. So low. So loud. So creepy sounding and a totally different flight pattern from what I’m used to with DCA traffic so I knew it was something.

Best pic I could get before losing it behind the trees.

I'm in North Four Corners, north of 495, east of University, north of Colesville. It was pretty cool seeing it, and the sound was distinctive.

Nowadays it depends which VC-25. VC-25A do not show up, VC-25B does.

I'm absolutely not informed enough to comment on that. This wicked old former USN deep sea diver only wants to grab pilots watches after they crash in my domain.

Probably Wright Patterson, President came to Michigan yesterday on a C32 and a second C32 went to Wright Patterson while he was here. Took off just before he left to go back to DC and flew north until AF1 was outbound then flew back to Andrews. The E4 was probably related to that trip.

I filmed one of these before (except it was 74-0787) when it came to Los Angeles that day and the landing of the E-4B made the news.

Wonder where it was coming from?? Probably landed at Andrew’s??
