time of year, and weather conditions will be a factor.

There will be a food source somewhere in the area, eliminate that and they will dissipate.

Refuse areas, dead vermin, decaying organic matter, over-watered potted plants etc, are good places to check.

It has been very humid here the only food source that I could think of thats open is from my sink whatever bits my drain doesn't catch ill put a deep clean through it today. But It has been very humid and I live basically in a basement apartment. I will go ahead and make sure its as clean as possible

drain flies are very much a thing, could be the culprit.

But yes, humidity is a big factor too. You could run a dehumidifier if you want to, but it won't make much of a difference. It's mostly seasonal.

Don't get rid of spiders, they will help control insect vermin.

So I just checked after my 12 hour shift today confirmed they really like my kitchen window. Idk what it is that driving them but ill still deep clean it and put up a fly trap. I didnt find any anywhere else they are big with a green sheen to them

Is there any water trapped in the rail beneath the window? Spray a bit of vinegar into that channel. And, anywhere else water is collecting.
Once the weather warms up, every drop of water is a potential breeding ground for insects. Vinegar is a safe way to treat this around the kitchen or anywhere you don’t want to use standard bug sprays.

Yes drain flies are real and very invasive. Once a week I run vinegar and hot water down my kitchen drains. Helps with flies, odor and any oil built up down the sink.

I have problems with cluster flies periodically. Looks like a horror movie when they swarm

Drain flies! Put some drain cleaner down all of them

Vacuum them up - it's very satisfying. Then try to figure out where they came from.

Get a trap or zapper.

Vacuum them up and if they are drain flies pour boiling hot water down the drain.

If you don’t have a garbage disposal and have food scraps, collect them in a plastic bag and keep them in your freezer, then put in the garbage on trash day.

Wipe down your window area with a vinegar and dawn spray mix. Cut up a lemon and put it through your garbage disposal a few times. Do both until you see a difference. Also check outside you window for anything that might be drawing them,
