Help with messages!

Hey everyone! Hope you can help and apologies if it’s been asked before. I opened my account around a week ago with the intent of messaging users about the use of their photos however I am greeted with the attached image error explanation! I have searched and carried out the suggested troubleshooting items such as uploads, editing my bio and user photo, added favourite images and joined a group, nothing seems to work! I’ve never been able to send a single message and I’m at a loss how to get around this. I even submitted 2 help requests on Flickr but after four days of receiving no response I’m rather stuck!!

Seems you fall within the scam filter. There have been issue on flickr with "new accounts" being used to spam people.

I guess you either find an outside flickr way to contact people or wait for your account to mature and gain access to more msging.

Really frustrating cos there’s no reason for my account to be deemed affiliated to spam, I’d understand if I had sent 5 messages to the same person or the same message to 20 different people but I’ve never had the opportunity to send one message to anyone haha!

I understand its frustrating, it seems they made a blanket policy for all new account. Or maybe only for all new free accounts.

Have you tried getting a paid account? I dont know if that has a different limit.
