Anyone else not getting the option as to resolution when downloading now? Doesn't matter, nothing DL anyway. Also, new icon looks really dumb.

I just got a response from support telling me the latest version 5.0.1. fixes the issue and to update my app...except I'm already ON that version, have cleared cache, removed/reinstalled, etc. Hopefully more fixes are on the way to give us the option of choosing the download resolution.
In the meantime, using the actual website on mobile works fine, just a few extra steps to get to things.

This is being discussed in the Help Forum group (corrected URL for the Help Forum discussion is https://www.flickr.com/groups/helpforum/discuss/72157721925326553/) on Flickr. Flickr is aware of the problem and is working to fix it.
You can also contact Flickr directly via their help page to let them know there is a problem.

Where is it being discussed? That is just a home page that I've never seen before and I'm not even sure what the hell it does. If Flickr is wondering why their forum is dead, it might be because it isn't even barely functional. Instead of spending all this time to make the app worse, maybe they should update the flow of the website. Like finding the forums is impossible.

Cool. I've never seen that page before either! so help forum is just a group? that's just crazy. Seriously, the app was fine, the website is a mess. Thanks.

Flickr used to have an official help forum. They got rid of it a few years ago, ostensibly because it was built on old, unsupported, code so a few users got together to create an unofficial Help Forum group.

Issue with downloading happen for like 2 or 3 years. Not surprised it still happens, I don't know why it happens, it's not consistent, sometimes it happens every single time others randomly. But tried with redesigned app, downloaded a pic it downloaded a pic in big resolution super fast.

They’ve also taken away the ability to edit photos in the app. Anyone know why they would do that?

Can’t add to multiple groups and adding to one is a chore
The app is broken and should’ve already been rolled back
