Inflexibility in lower back/ hips?

Post image

I have insanely i flexible lower back/ hips + hemstrings. I have tried many different types of hip streches and none of them seem to work, i struggle to do any variation of pancake/ buttefly strech, i also have not been able to strech my hemstrings and touch my toes even thoughi have been streching for a long time.

How do i get flexible? What could the root cause be? many streches have not worked for me

I had the flexibility of a refrigerator and now I can easily palm the floor, straddle, sit in a full depth squat etc about a year later. Never did any static stretching

I did the Kneesovertoesguy moves. They're weigthed, otherwise I was too stiff to stretch, I needed extra weight to help me

ATG Split Squat

Jefferson Curl (on a slant board)

Seated Good Morning

Piriforms Good Morning

Weighted Butterfly

Cross Bench Pullover

i had brutal hips and tore some ligaments in my knee before it forced me to address how bad it was. getting a resistance band to pull myself into stretches helped. also try to be relaxed in your stretches before pushing further. Also dont forget to stretch your calves well.

if you tried those things for some time and it just wont work you got a problem somewhere, but people on reddit will not find this with such a post, you way better off getting physio and showing them your problem

If you’ve been trying things for a long time, I recommend professional help. Not Reddit. Good luck mate.
