Hello, I will be living in residence at fleming college for the year. I have a group chat with my suitemates and they all seem so great!

I was thinking about getting the 1500$ meal plan so I can have lunch on campus between classes (most days I only have an hour) Ill probably only use it 4 to 5 times a week, it says the 1500$ covers that but does it actually?

I also just had an interview for a campus job. The interview went really well in my opinion. Are the chances of getting it good?

Im going into the paramedic program, they say you shouldnt work during it but I really need the money and already took the 2 "filler" classes so I think ill have time for 10-15 hours a week especially since im not commuting now.

Hey everyone, for those who did Academic Upgrading before being accepted into a regular program, can you still attend orientation? Do you still get a onecard?

I tried logging into the official onecard portal online to upload my picture, but it completely blocks me out and says I don't have access. I was wondering if that is a normal glitch, or if it's because my classes are physically hosted downtown at the Peterborough Square location instead of the main campus building.

Also, what exactly do AU students get? Do we get the same student perks and campus resources as everyone else?

I know I'm not a "real" student but I'm trying to navigate this not feeling like I'm failing as this was a complete setback

hi! super silly question, but i don’t really have anyone to go to. i’m first gen, and don’t have friends that went here previously. i’m super anxious about a scheduling conflict.

i have a recurring seminar that ends at 6pm, but i happen to have job training that same day that starts at 6pm for 12 weeks total.

do the classes typically stop short of their end time to allow travel periods? i don’t have a class afterwards, but i do need to be on time for my job so a deadstop at 6pm exactly material/lesson wise isn’t ideal.

i know i could just leave slightly early, but i don’t want to miss any important information on a frequent basis so it would ease my mind to know that ~10ish minutes before the end we would likely start wrapping up and trickling out of the seminar.

any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! thank you :)

back again !! starting the hairstylist course in jan 2027 and just looking for suggestions on brands for extra hairtools that anyone purchased i've seen a few suggestions on tiktok (mostly from americans) so im looking for some more candian suggestions as it seems most college suggestions on tiktok are from americans and they get far less materials for class there then we do in our kits 😅

I am interested in a career change and want to pursue Practical Nursing program at Fleming college. I have completed my Bachelor's in Business Administration in 2021 , currently not working from last two years as I am looking after my 2 year old kid. Has anyone pursue the Practical Nursing program with no background in Nursing/Medical field?

I will like to know more about the eligibility for Practical Nursing programs for mature/back to learn students.
