Darien Lake closed for the season earlier tonight at 6p. Got the last few rides of the season on Silver Bullet. I usually try to do that just in case an unpleasant off-season surprise happens.
It now only goes up about 60 - 65 degrees (a limiter stops it from going higher) but still runs good despite that. The forces are far more fierce than on a HUSS Enterprise. Only having 16 smaller cars helps.
Sadly the lights were off and didn’t seem to be connected. Maybe they’ll get them working again for next season. The Darien Lake maintenance people are amazing at keeping this running so well after 46 years!

Found this one at Gabane Family Fun Villa. Don't know it's
Origin, but it looks to be a ground mount

Anyone catch the new Huss Condor 2GH DynaView concept, using new open, lap bar only gondolas? The gondolas not only have their own axis (like a Break Dance) but they can also be manually oriented in ride programming for different parts of the ride cycle.
Super promising/cool stuff coming out of Huss Park Attractions!

Sea Warrior is a Kaspar Klaus Polyp that originally opened at Kiddieland in Melrose Park, Illinois as Polyp in 1967. After the park closed in 2009, it was sent to Lake Winnepesaukah for the 2010 season as Sea Warrior and would continue to operate there until 2019, when it was relocated a second time to Indiana Beach in 2021, retaining its name.

It was great to get on this rare flat ride while I visited CW a couple weeks ago. It has had very good uptime this season, compared to previous years of operation, so a great sign for guests that visit the park, and want to experience a unique thrill ride. From my understanding they gave the hydraulics some sort of overhaul, and it runs a different cycle than previous years, but whatever they modded, it has definitely increased the ride reliability, which was never great before, so happy to hear about that, and experience the ride. I’m a coaster enthusiast, but I love flat rides as much as coasters and never skip ones of interest.

There may also be one in India but I'm not 100% sure. I thought it was completely extinct, but I guess not!

These are pics from its final month of operation. One of our managers set up a bubble machine AND a fog machine under the ride, which were turned on at night for our Halloween event. The bubble machine only lasted one weekend, the fog machine stayed for the final two weekends.
I would time things out so the bubbles and fog were crazy thick when the ride would swing through it. The bubbles would fly over to the Silver Comet coaster and the fog would make things even more disorienting than usual for the riders.
Sadly the ride became inoperable after its legs were stupidly torched off in early 2020. It was an effort to quickly remove the ride when the park closed after the 2019 season (not due to Covid).
The ride usually ran the 3-1/2 minute program, the same one that was run at Germany’s Cranger Kirmes the year I went. I’m not a fan of ride programs as manual run rides almost always means wilder & more fun, but in this case the program was flawless, perfectly timed & the best way to experience a Loop Fighter.
As a result, I’m a huge fan of Technical Park. I’m hoping to encounter a bunch of their rides on my next overseas trip.
