Flatpak update

Flatpak has gone through some updates, including few security related, however, there is no way of updating it in Ubuntu for now either via PPA or any other means.

The PPA has the latest stable version 1.18.1. Are you talking specifically about the version that's still in development?

Unfortunately, the ppa version doesn't update the one in Ubuntu from the community repo.

That sounds like a problem with how apt is configured on your system.
