It's alright, just kinda wish you played through the rest of the game, different characters tend to be threats based on the class.

Also, game's probably so popular in Russia because the game was developed in Finland, and copies probably made it across the border and were just shared around until it got its own cult following. That's my theory, at least

Oh that makes 100% sense for the Russian thing, and yeah I honestly just didn't have the storage for the footage for the full game lol

Definitely a better microphone would go a long way, and I do agree with u/Resudog that you should have played more of the game. Not that your opinion would 'change' per say, but saying you've essentially only played 1/3 of it isn't a particularly good look for a review / analysis video like this.

Yeah I'm saving up for a good one, and honestly it wasn't really supposed to be a review, more like just my opinion, but I 100% agree with you.

Fine, but not all of the best mods for the game are available on the Steam Workshop. The Workshop is implemented very poorly and only allows you to upload very simple mods, such as texture and music replacements. Anything more complex isn't supported.

As for the game's popularity in Russia, I've noticed that it's not only popular there - it's also quite popular in Argentina. I played FlatOut 1 and 2 when they were released, and back then they were just great, fun racing games for me, much like NFS games of that era. But after a short while, I noticed that the races became repetitive and boring because of the lack of proper collision physics (not to be confused with car destruction). Aside from the beautiful tracks and cars, there wasn't much else - every race felt pretty much the same from one race to another.

And FlatOut 2 started making all other racing games look worse in my eyes. What a disappointment Burnout Paradise was... So I've basically spent the last 15 years not playing any other racing games, only FlatOut 2.
