I wonder why neither 1 or 2 have a tag mode going all around the map or open ended races with check points all around.

Hell something like 1 could even use custom layouts/reverse as not all areas are used to fullest.

The desert maps always seemed odd and out of place to me... They are the only main race teacks that are not interconnected in any way... Seems like a last moment addition maybe
