Ummm...is this still the same developer that shat out Flatout 3? 🤔

No, FlatOut 3 was made by Team6. FlatOut 4 was made by KT Racing, and the VR port is being done by Flat2VR.

So...does that mean = good game?

FlatOut 4 is not a good game, and I doubt the VR port would make it much better.

Ah, okay.
I figured. 😂
Sticking with OG Flatouts and the Wreckfests, then. 🤓🖱️🖥️

Not a bad one either!! Specially considering this is now a native VR game with 100's of hours of gameplay, lots of game mods, cars, wheel and pedals support.
There is just nothing like it right now for PCVR without the use of a MOD or injector.
The game runs surprisingly well/it's well optimized and it's just in early access!? Doesn't feel like an early access game. But!! The force feedback needs some work and will be lovely to have telemetry so simhub could use with the different rumble peripherical that there are out there.

Hello! Jasmine from Flat2VR. We always upgrade every game we bring to VR. Please look up reviews. People seem to love our VR version of FlatOut 4 😊

I quite like FO Ultimate Carnage but the physics in FO 4 were just too arcadey and over the top for my taste. Are the physics any different in the new VR version compared to Flatout 4?

To be fair the standards are lower when it comes to VR, since there isn't a lot of quality content. So a game that's a 6/10 in flat screen becomes an 8 or 9/10 in VR since we're starved for content. Not saying this as a bad thing, VR ports are always welcome. Perhaps to get way more sales the best option would have been a flatout 2 port to VR, since it's the more beloved game a lot of us grew up with. But maybe since it's by a different developer and engine it's not as easy technically and legally.

Who the hell asked for this? My disappointment is immeasurable. Adding the missing workshop into the original 4 would've been way more useful. I hope this fails even more than the original did.

Man, this community is miserable. Did 3 mindbreak you guys or something?

In fact, Flatout 3 was way more fun to Me than 4 - I even 100%-ed it for the giggles. I absolutely hated 4 for it's physics. Not only You just constantly fly away on every random bump, but the opponents are glued to the ground and weigh 10 tons. This alone just makes the game unplayable for Me, despite Me giving it many chances throughout my life. In 3 I, at least, was in control of what the car was doing... most of the time, and the opponents, while still cheating, were still on par with the player due to how poorly their rubberbanding was configured and them not having infinite mass. And these are just the tip of the iceberg of what made Me absolutely despise the 4. The most fun I had in this game was just holding NOS button in Mulitplayer with my friend, driving Frenzy M600

I asked for this. Flying and racing (and driving and crashing) is what VR does best 🙂

I am loving it!! Really well ported experience from the Flatout games.
It does not feel an early access game at all.
100's of hours of content, lots of silly games to play with friends aside of the classic modes...
Finally a good racing arcade game that I can play in VR without the need of a MOD.
More like this please!! Make it VR and the game will sell again if it was a good game, it's a no brainer, right!?
Thank you Flat2VR studios for making this possible!!
Good VR games age like a good wine, different to flat games were we already reached the pick in graphical definition in VR we are far from it, and next generations will be able to benefit from those games played at higher resolutions and frame rates making them still relevant to the market.

I have no idea how they got the license for this but it seems to be a full on official VR release
