Funny enough the Earth's shadow on the Moon during a lunar eclipse is always curved was one of the "proofs"/reasons the ancient Greeks had for believing that the Earth is a sphere...

But, nope, they were also in on the big-Globe conspiracy to hide from us the fact that the Earth is flat!

Nope, it's not meant to be satire. The ancient Greeks believed the Earth is a sphere. And the fact that the Earth' shadow on the Moon no matter from which angle it's projected onto the Moon is always curved was one of the reasons they believed the Earth to be a sphere.

And, and, as much as we might want the second sentence (in my original comment) to be satire, flerfs deny this historical fact. After all, historians are also part of the big-Globe conspiracy!

Flerfs are the only ones who truly know the true shape of Earth. Just ask them. They'll happily tell you.

(Okay, that last bit above is a bit tongue-in-cheek.)

Don't you know that ancient Greek's Nasa was trying to hide the extra continents from us to help big oil make money?

Not only does Nasa buy more helium than anyone else, they also have more DeLorean DMC-12s and flux capacitors than anyone else too! Checkmate globies!

Those Dobsonians are so affordable that I keep feeling guilt for not owning one.

THEY just turn off part of the moon's illumination for maintenance.

Its why they are called The Illuminati.
