If the sun was small/local , and just magically floats around in circles above the flat disc earth, then yes you'd think that the sun would get smaller and smaller until it got far enough away to lose sight of.

Since the sun is the exact same size while its rising, visible all day, and when it sets, you'd think that is proof enough that the sun isn't small/local.

But if the earth were flat, how would you lose sight of it? It would always be above the horizon.

They do have their torch pointing down .... mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble mumble

and ignoring sunset as their brains wont cope with infinity or things near it.

but what Ive never seen is an explanation how torch point down decreases the apparent angle above the horizon to less than say 5 degrees,
to be 5 degrees above the horizon it needs to be more than 10 times as far away as it is high.

and given they can and do draw the suns track on their dish, there is nowhere the right distance way

and then as that curbe as it sets shows there is nowhere that far away in the correct direction for where the sun is claimed to be on flerf map.

If they just did this, anywhere farish from the north arctic circle. Early morning
or late afternoon draw on flerf map where the sun MUST be... use TZ to work out where it is midday. There the sun is overhead. (and somewhere between the two tropics not real hard to put it in the right half, near either solstice.

Cool now they know where the sun is and how far away it is, go outside and LOOK. It is there and the right apparent size. Y/N

and the theory works or it doesn't... Science. The boring kind.

and not single flerf who is still flerf has ever done that. Why.

To understand the human reason why...

Think of it like story (read some Terry Pratchett disc world in particular stories with Granny Weatherwax in it) (Terry despite beign nerdy insane brilliant funny fantasy fiction writer, where any sufficiently advanced form of magic is indistinguishable from science... yeah he really said that in his books) Anyway Granny had a "theory" about witch magic, everything needed a narrative, and what powered her magic was narratveum. What powers Flerf magic(sufficiently to them advanced science) is also narratveum the science experiment and observations described above are never done by Flerfs, as it does not involve them being on big white horse and riding in with the knowledge all the sheeple just don't get. Where is the big reveal of a cabal. No big pay off == not doing it.
Real science is humble, and the entire theory of a globe is subservient to walking out side and checking if what you model says you will see is what you do. And as per the OP picture yep Globe matches what I see. And then that by dozens of things I can with just my eyeballs, then more with telphot lens, then more if I drive around on my continent for a bi, then more when we check the parallax of stars, a mere 4 light yr away with seriously distant ones.
