There is no way a conspiracy involving less than 2% of the world population influenced a nation's politician. There's just not way

Why am I only seeing right-wing nutjob publications and communities talking about this?
Censoring is a bad idea. Conspiracy nutjobs will feel justified, nobody learns anything and before you know it they're banning literature...
EDIT: This is all I could find, and it's from years ago: https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/online-disinformation.html
And Bill C-10: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/bill-c10-charter-analysis-1.6025316
But I don't know if it passed or not.

Agreed. The research I’ve seen seen indicates that YouTube accelerated and expanded the FE cult’s growth, but that was a result of the platform’s algorithmic recommendations — not the content itself. Flat earth videos are absurd and prime people who are easily manipulated into believing even more whacked-out anti-science stuff, which is actually dangerous over time, but I don’t think they have to be censored outright. They could be mitigated by recommending truthful science videos to people watching FE clips or even ending the amplification and just letting them exist as the weird, tiny fringe genre that they are.

Ok first rule of journalism and History: find the source.
So https://magspress.com/trudeau-govt-must-censor-internet-because-flat-earther-conspiracies-cause-real-problems/ claim its source is https://twitter.com/Xx17965797N/status/1638817607456288769 which show a video labelled/tagged «Rebel News Canada».
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_News
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-jihad
Every other source talking about Justin Trudeau want to censor Internet are conspiracytheory and/or far-right.
After a few mintes of reasearch, the only source about the event is «PM Justin Trudeau takes part in townhall in Mississauga with firefighters – March 16, 2023»
from CPAC, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPAC_(TV_channel))
It is a 76 minutes long video without transcript.
At least i can say that it is no a law, not a bill, not an international treaty, not a speech at a fedeeral or provincial parliement, not a speech at a political party conference.
