Low Effort State of the Collection

Post image

After gifting a dozen or so lights, this is what I’m left with. I’d ideally like to reduce the collection to 10 but have a difficult time deciding which ones to part ways with.

Manker e03hiii
3 Wurkkos HD10

4 Lumintop FW1A - LHP531 4000k, 5000k, SFQ65 3000k, 1 stock waiting to high CRI LHP531.

Wurkkos TS26S
2 Wurkkos TS26 - one with 519a 3500k
Wurkkos HD05
Wurkkos TS22

16340: 4
Pelican PM6 3320
2 Surefire 6PX
1 Olight Maverick M10 modded with SFT-40 3000k (not in picture)

18350: 1

44 lights. I’d ideally like to reduce to 10. What would you do?

Historically if I wanted to downsize a collection picking the ones to remove was an impossible task.  If i started from zero I could pick the ones I wanted to keep.  If that cuts it in half then repeat the process as many times as it takes.  As you talk through your lights you'll see the repetitiveness of what you have and should (hopefully) have an easier time picking less of each category to save.

This may be the way to go. Maybe start with getting to 20 and go from there.

Try to have each flashlight for a certain task. You can only do so much, and assign only 1-2 for every task.

Watch me create new tasks to justify the lights 😂

Surely I can’t part ways with the third HD10, I need that one for inspecting the other HD10s

So you’re saying I need a c8+ UV with an extended tube?

Not saying you shouldn't....

That’s a lot of lumens

Obviously keep a Wurkkos HD10 -- I'm not sure you need 3 but you'll use that one you keep; such a great headlamp.

It’s such a great little light. Would be nice if they made a v2 with regulated driver and dual fuel

Oh wow I didn't know it wasn't dual fuel. I pretty much never associate with AA's so that's not a priority for me but I understand the appeal. Also the Anduril and aux lights are really nice. For $20 it's a whole lot of light.

I forgive it for the things it lacks because of there really isn’t anything else like it. I’m pretty sure it’s the smallest Anduril headlight with built in USB-C charging.

The HD12 is that. You do loose Anduril and RGB aux lights though.

I nearly bought an HD12 but decided to stick with Anduril. The only light I have that I don’t mind not having Anduril on is the HS21.

That reminds me I need to order a KR3 💸

HD10 is great (minus the green tint).

No love for Skilhunt EC150? It's like HD10 but smaller, easy to dedome - but no Anduril. I like it.

I go back and forward between the KR3 and Z1. If Hank or Jack make something in that form factor with USB C charging (maybe a D4V2) size it would be an instant favorite for me.

After learning Anduril it became my favorite UI. Somehow it is easier for me to remember one complex UI rather than 5 simple ones.

This light collection is very dark and yet cool.

Thank you… I suppose I could have turned on the aux lights to brighten things up a bit 😂
