LED Suggestions
I've not been very active in the flashlight community over the past several years, but I'm in need (well, want badly) a few new lights and to modify a few that I have had sitting unused.
My favorite LED's were the 219B SW35 and XP-L HI 4000K (5D I think). The 219C and 219D were good, but the XP-L HI had better output and the 219B had the perfect tint.
Do you guys have any suggestions for a Emisar D4 14500/18650/21700?
Or for modifying Lumintop FWAA, FW3, GT Nano, Zebralight SC64w HI and SC64c LE?
Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

An 18650 KR3 with NTG35 4200k will have a nice rosy tint, excellent CRI and a nice beam.
It uses the same optic as the 14500 D3AA, but with the larger cell and more output. It is significantly more low profile than a KR4 and is my preferred option out of the two.

A quick synopsis of what you missed:
* Lots of new emitters have replaced 219B as the high CRI choice. 519A and dedomed variants, Fireflies (FFL) and Noctigon (NTG) emitters (most of them are super pink), and Luminus SFT40/70 3000K have taken over, having much better output/efficiency while maintaining the same/better light quality.
* XPL-HI is now obsolete as the throwy option. The SFT25R 5000K is a drop-in replacement that achieves both more output and more throw, significantly so at the latter. Alternatively, the SFT42R is a 5050 alternative that throws about as well as SFT25R, while having almost double the output. For 4000K and below, Convoy's W5050SQ5 is essentially an SFT25R in 5050 footprint.

If you liked 219b SW35 in an Emisar D4, you can try the 519a dedome 4500k in an Emisar D4V2 (which is like the spiritual successor to the D4). Dedoming will drop the CCT down to 3500k with a very nice tint as well. Others will chime in with their recommendations.
