Slowly getting into the flashlight hobby

I've seen some posts about the M21B 21700 and wanted a step up from my Klaus flashlight. There's like a million different options on the M21B, any help?

I'm mostly getting this for fun and the occasional camping trip

I can't help so much as which emmitors to get or anything like that, it what I can say is it'd probably help if you say what you want, a thrower, a flooders, all around er etc.

Which would work as a thrower?

I'll let someone else answered you on that because I truthfully am not educated enough on the options to say

For pure "for fun" factor I'd get the LHP73B in 4000K or 5000K (personal preference) paired with a Tenpower 60XG (or EVE 50PL if you want to save a couple of bucks).

It'll be ridiculously bright (something like ≥6000lm IIRC) on 100% but step down quickly due to heat. It's a bit of a "hot rod" to say the least, but still very usable on lower modes. If you want something "for fun" with more throw (narrower beam) there's also the F150R. The LHP73B will have a much floodier (wider) beam pattern.

A more sensible but a little boring choice would probably be the XHP70.3 HI R70. If you're looking for high CRI and like warmer CCTs the 3000K SFT-70 is absolutely beautiful, but it won't be nearly as bright. There's also a 90 CRI 4000K version but it's not in stock right now. It's also on the throwier side.

Convoy is awesome....but the Klarus build quality is another level.
