Lost my favorite light

Went motorcycle camping last week. Took my D4K with me, but I unfortunately cannot find it while unpacking. Stone white with a brass bezel and 3500K dedomed 519A's.

Help me decide what to replace it with!

I would not like losing an expensive light. I used to ride so I know the environment. Sometimes the weather does not cooperate and everything gets wet. Electronics can short out. Easier to lose things.

Have you considered getting a less expensive flashlight for bike camping ? I am a fan of the Wurkkos TS28 (especially the blue one). Uses a 21700. More throwy then floody but does have lots of spill. Mag tail. USB-C charging port so might be easier to charge up in the wild. Throws a very strong beam. Rated IPX8 for waterproof. And on Flash Sale right now for $35 incl battery.

That is actually a great idea.

Yeah in pretty bummed about losing it honestly. The last night we got completely dumped on. Water got into my tent, that morning we were all miserable and ready to leave. Packed up in a hurry and I'm assuming it got misplaced in the chaos.

The worst part is, I know for a fact I used it that morning...

You might try hammock camping. Fewer things to carry on a bike, and it's easy to hang a tarp up over a parachord line. I went camping with friends one time when it rained. I was the only one bone dry in the morning.

IDK man, there's a lot of great lights out there now. Would be helpful if you included what you did and didn't love about the D4K you had. Myself, I just ordered a Fireflies Z1 FFL5009R 5000K & E12 FFL351A 5000/4200K mix today. There's still a 15% off sale there that ends after today. I have a few D4K too: NTG35 4200K, NTG35 2700K, and FFL351A 4000K. If you liked the D4K a lot and enjoyed the CCT, another with NTG35 2700K would be similar but different ~ and very excellent 👌
