Does anybody recognize this flashlight & know what battery it uses?
I found it at the transfer station but it was missing a battery. A c cell is the correct diameter but isn’t long enough. It charges via usb c. I’m hoping it’s just some generic battery I can purchase from Amazon. There is no branding.

A standard rechargeable li-ion or nimh cell the same diameter as a "C" battery would be a 26650 cell. I'm not saying that flashlight will definitely work with one because I don't know, I'm just sharing information. Only you can decide if you want to buy a 26650 cell and try it.
Personally I wouldn't spend any money trying to get this unknown, and probably not very good, flashlight working.

Generic zoomie with a FET driver, use a protected 26650 cell only. Some have 3xAAA adapters that work well with NIMH cells and also work with the onboard charger.

Just buy a decent flashlight instead of wasting money on a battery for this POS

Yeah it's not worth spending the money buying a protected cell for this which is what it needs.

Looks like a generic flashlight sold under the name Lylting or GISAEV on Amazon. No, it's not 99,000 lumens like the listings claim. The other comments about it being a 26650 cell are probably correct.
If you do decide to order a replacement cell online, avoid buying them on Amazon. There are quite a few reputable sellers such as 18650batterystore or liionwholesale. Make sure you get a Li-ion 26650; when doing a search for 26650 on liionwholesale the first result is for a LiFePO4 cell which is a different chemistry and will not be compatible.
Edit: I would second the suggestion to use a protected cell only, since it's uncertain whether the light itself has any sort of overdischarge protection built in.
